  • Patent number: 4479033
Abstract: A power line telephone extension system for carrying electrical signals between a subscriber's telephone line of a conventional telephone communication system and the subscriber's remote transmit-receiver device, (such as a conventional extension telephone), over the AC electric power wires available to the subscriber which includes: master linking circuits for processing signals between the subscriber's telephone line and the AC power wires; extension linking circuits for processing signals between the AC power wires and the subscriber's remote transmit-receive device, such as a conventional extension telephone; and a directional coupler circuit electrically coupling the remote transmit-receive device and the telephone line. The extension system is quite suitable for use with the presently available, well known, conventional extension telephone that plugs in by the plug (modular or 4 prong) provided therewith, to the directional coupler.

  • Patent number: 4475193
Abstract: In a power line carrier telephone extension system for transmitting electrical signals between the telephone line and an extension telephone over the AC electric power line available at a telephone subscriber's premises, that includes a main station for processing signals between the subscriber's telephone line and power lines and an extension telephone of the system that plugs into the power line, means that provides for a plurality of such extension telephones all of which can place calls to the telephone line, answer calls from the telephone line and conference together in full duplex communication.

  • Patent number: 4422605
Abstract: The invention relates to a thrust reverser for the jet engine of an aircraft. According to the invention, the unlocking of the doors with a view to passage from their folded position to their extended position, is effective only after they have been previously brought into a super-retracted position with respect to the folded position and said reverser comprises stops which allow the doors to pass from the folded position to the super-retracted position only when the rpm of said engine is lower than a threshold close to idling rpm. The invention is particularly applicable to ensuring operational safety of thrust reversers.

  • Patent number: 4362015
Abstract: The present invention relates to a gas turbine engine which is provided with a thrust reverser with unfoldable doors and which is of the double jet type, i.e. comprising a central generator emitting a jet of hot gas and surrounded by an annular by-pass conduit through which a jet of relatively cold gas passes, wherein said turbine engine comprises means for restricting the passage of the jet of relatively cold gas in said annular by-pass conduit when the doors of the thrust reverser are unfolded. The invention results in a simplification of the structure of the doors of the thrust reverser.

  • Patent number: 4212442
Abstract: The invention relates to a thrust reverser for a jet engine of an aircraft, which comprises two symmetrical doors pivotally mounted about an axis which is transverse and substantially diametrical to the jet of said engine and which is disposed downstream of the jet exhaust pipe thereof, the doors each being pivoted due to two diametrically opposite hinges and occupying a folded or stowed position in which they form part of the fairing of the engine or fuselage of the aircraft, or an unfolded or opened out position in which they are disposed transversely to the jet, while at least one longitudinal jack is provided at the level of a hinge, for the simultaneous control of the doors via connecting rods.

  • Patent number: 4182501
Abstract: The invention relates to a thrust reverser comprising two symmetrical doors, approximately hemi-truncated in shape, pivotally mounted about an axis which is transverse and substantially diametrical to the jet of a jet engine and which is disposed downstream of the jet exhaust pipe thereof, the doors occupying a folded, or stowed, position in which they determine a sleeve forming part of the fairing of the engine and fuselage of the aircraft, or an unfolded, or opened out, position in which they are disposed transversely with respect to the jet, wherein the structure of each of the doors is such that, in stowed position, the inner volume of the sleeve forms a useful extension of the jet pipe of the engine. The invention finds particular application in the braking of aircraft.

  • Patent number: 4129269
Abstract: Thrust reverser for a jet engine of an aircraft, comprising two symmetrical doors mounted to pivot about an axis which is transverse and substantially diametrical with respect to the jet of the engine and which is disposed downstream of the jet exhaust pipe thereof, the doors being adapted to occupy a folded or stowed position in which they form part of the fairing of the engine or fuselage of the aircraft, or an unfolded or opened out position for which they are disposed transversely with respect to the jet. According to the invention, each of the doors is formed by a single skin which is at least substantially hemi-truncated in shape.

  • Patent number: 4058678
Abstract: A remote transmitting or receiving device (T/R device) communicates with a conventional subscriber telephone through available AC power wires which carry signals that may be modulations of RF carrier frequencies and which are coupled to the power wires. For example, an incoming telephone call includes signals that are detected and modulate a master RF carrier frequency which is coupled to the AC power wires at the telephone line location and these signals are coupled from the AC power wires at a remote R device location, and, demodulated and used to control an electrical appliance, motor, pump, etc. The remote T device which may be, for example, a fire detector produces signals which modulate a remote RF carrier frequency which is coupled to the AC power wires at the remote location and this modulated carrier is coupled from the AC power wires and demodulated at the telephone line location to control or initiate signals in suitable form for transmission over the telephone line.
