Abstract: A gripping head for a handler in a sorting machine and an operating method thereof is disclosed. The gripping head includes: a support frame; a gripping tool having a socket for a control line and a first retainer; a revolver-shaped carrier on the support frame having a first releasable engagement unit coupled with the corresponding first retainer, the gripping tools furthermore having a second retainer; and a transfer platform equipped with second releasable engagement unit coupled with the second retainer. The transfer platform moves on the support frame between: a home position wherein the first retainers are engaged with the first releasable engagement unit of the carrier; an attachment position wherein the second releasable engagement units are coupled with the second retainer; and an operating position wherein the first retainers are uncoupled from the first releasable engagement units and the selected gripping tool is spaced away from the carrier.

Abstract: A method and relative sheet handling apparatus apt to pick up sheets from a pack of sheets to be delivered to a cut-ting centre and for removing a separating foil between the sheets is described, including: a lifting and removing unit for a top sheet equipped with upper gripping heads; an air flow generating unit generating an air flow above the pack of sheets; and a control unit of the lifting unit, suitable for arranging the top sheet at a stasis height of up to 70 mm above the pack of sheet to define a suction chamber for the air flow generator.

Abstract: A method and a cutting system for sheets includes a cutting center, a sorting apparatus with handlers for gripping pieces cut by the cutting center, and a transfer board, movable between the handler area and the inside of the cutting center, supporting the sheets. The cutting center includes a cutting head movably mounted above the transfer board with a distance detection sensor, detecting distance data with respect to a sheet on the transfer board. The cutting center and sorting apparatus have respective first and second control logics. A data interface unit lies between the first and second control logic, by which distance data from the distance detection sensor, are transferred. The second control logic has a processor defining, periodically during operation cycles, an altitude map based on the distance data detected in a number of positions, and controlling a gripping step of the handlers based on the altitude map.

Abstract: A detaching method of sheets from a stack of sheets from a stack of sheets and a relative detaching apparatus is disclosed, including at least a gripping head of a handling device of sheets and a nozzle assembly apt to eject an air flow to a lateral edge of a stack of sheets, furthermore including: a storage assembly of pressurised air provided at least with a compressed-air tank equipped with a pressure multiplier and a relative first pressure adjuster; and a high-pressure pipe between the nozzle assembly and the storage assembly intercepted by a fast-opening electrovalve. The nozzle assembly is provided with a nozzle, supplied through the electrovalve, configured as a convergent/divergent spout.

Abstract: An apparatus for handling sheets and the operating method thereof is disclosed, the apparatus including: a handling unit for gripping and transferring sheets to and from a sheet change support with a substantially horizontal attitude; and a receiving-transmitting electromagnetic beam unit which generate electromagnetic beams arranged on a plane which is intercepted by the sheets when they take up an attitude at least partially different from the horizontal one. The receiving-transmitting electromagnetic beam unit is fixedly arranged on at least a couple of linear bars arranged at the same height for generating a horizontal-mesh barrier, consisting of intersecting, stationary electromagnetic beams, generated by the receiving-transmitting unit, the barrier being defined above an area occupied by the sheet change support.

Abstract: A sorting system and a gripping tool thereof to be mounted on a handling device for handling pieces cut out from planar sheets are disclosed. The gripping tool includes: an engaging head interchangeably paired with an operating end of a displaceable handling device: an actuator mounted on the engaging head, including at least a first actuator unit; and attaching and coupling units having attaching and coupling devices, mounted on the engaging head. The attaching and coupling units are mounted on a frame including at least four rods articulated together through respective hinges arranged on a lying plane. The attaching and coupling devices are arranged on a plane parallel to the lying plane. The articulated frame being supported on the engaging head. The first actuator unit drives at least one of the rods of the articulated frame by rotation around at least one of the hinges on the lying plane.
