Abstract: Disclosed are the 22R and 22S epimers of compounds of the formula ##STR1## wherein X.sub.1 represents a fluorine atom, and X.sub.2 represents a hydrogen atom or a fluorine atom. Also disclosed are processes for the preparation of the compounds, pharmaceutical compositions comprising the compounds and methods of treatment of inflammatory and allergic conditions employing the compounds.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for treating the surface of surgical implants made of titanium or a titanium alloy, for instance dental implants, before implantation in bone tissue. The method results in a roughened exterior implant surface and at the same time a cleaning action is obtained, should there be any contaminants. The surface is blasted with particles of an oxide of titanium, preferably titanium dioxide. In this way an implant having an improved retention in bone tissue is obtained. The Blasted implant is used in a method for treating toothlessness.

Abstract: The invention relates to a disposable breath-actuated inhaler comprising a housing forming an air flow path open at both ends, wherein one end forms an air inlet and one end forms an air outlet. The housing includes a compartment for storing a pharmaceutical powder to be inhaled which is located close to the air inlet and covered by a thin foil which seals the compartment in an airtight way. The foil can be removed from the compartment from outside the housing. Additionally, the housing has a constriction adjacent the powder compartment such that a turbulent air stream will be obtained at the constriction upon inhalation which will lift the powder out from the compartment and mix the powder into the air stream.
