Abstract: There is provided a filter network arrangement comprising a filter network; and one or more correction networks, wherein the one or more correction networks is arranged to substantially equalize the passband gain and group delay of the filter network arrangement. Given an appropriate Q for the one or more correction networks, a polynomial for the one or more correction networks can be found that equalizes both the passband gain and group delay and the one or more correction networks can be synthesized from the polynomial.

Abstract: Feed horn transmitting and receiving signals and method of making. Feed horn includes a throat section structured to convert a TE11 mode to an HE11 mode, an aperture section positioned opposite throat section, and a multiple-corrugation transition section connected to throat section and having a plurality of radial corrugations that substantially widen an interior of the feed horn from throat section toward aperture section. Throat section, aperture section and transition section are arranged to have a same axis of symmetry. The plurality of corrugations are dimensioned relative to one another to alter a mode content of a signal so that a more co-polarized power is radiated within a predetermined solid angle of a cone in at least one frequency band as compared to a reference feed horn employing a substantially pure HE11 mode in its aperture and providing a same illumination taper at a same conical half-angle at same frequencies.

Abstract: There is disclosed a plurality of sufficient closely-packed functional units which are interconnected to form a non-planar payload module assembly 40. Advantageously, the payload modular structure 40 is compact with few piece parts, has low output losses, and is robust enough for supporting complete payloads with or without reflectors. The payload modular structure has utility in various space-based applications as well as in various terrestrial applications.
