  • Publication number: 20020051779
Abstract: The invention teaches methods and compositions for removing thrombi lodged in the microvasculature of an organ. To remove the thrombi, the organ may be perfused, flushed or washed with a suitable perfusion solution to which a sufficient amount of a thrombolytic agent, such as Streptokinase, has been added. The perfusing, flushing or washing process of the organ with the thrombolytic agent will promote thrombolysis on existing thrombi, prevent the formation of new thrombi in the organ, and/or open the vasculature of the organ thereby decreasing vascular resistance and increasing flow. The method of the invention may be practiced using an organ perfusion apparatus that would allow the viability of the organ to be sustained and/or restored upon perfusion with a thrombolytic agent.

  • Publication number: 20020051168
Abstract: In a facsimile system adapted to receive data via a LAN (Internet facsimile system), when the facsimile machine is unable to print or otherwise process the received data, and has no mass storage device, the received data is 5 rerouted to the other terminal connected to the LAN so that the received data may be readily retrieved at all times. Such a situation can occur as a result of a failure of the printer unit, running out of printing paper, experiencing an unchanged state of the image memory for more than a prescribed time period, experiencing a memory-full state of the image memory for more than a prescribed time period, and detecting the received data to be based on a format which the facsimile system is unable to handle. Therefore, the received data can be made readily available for the interested party, and the safety of the received data can be improved.

  • Publication number: 20020051221
Abstract: When an IFAX processing section transmits image information using e-mail, a timer monitoring section starts the count of a timer. After starting the count, a received mail determining section determines whether or not a timeout occurs. Also, the received mail determining section determined whether an error mail of a current job or a DSN of the current job is received. In the case of the timeout, when the notification content of the error mail or the DSN is an abnormal end, a transmission selecting section instructs a FAX control section to transmit an image information file of the current job to a telephone number. Thereafter, the transmission selecting section instructs an image information managing section to erase an image information file corresponding to a file name of the current job. This makes it possible to insure a real-time property as making use of advantages of e-mail.
