Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a method including assessing a danger level associated with an object; locating a target person and a caregiver; monitoring movement of an unsupervised target person relative to a boundary around the object; and providing a warning in a caregiver's voice if the person crosses the boundary. A content and volume of the warning, a direction of the warning with respect to a trajectory of movement of the person, and a tone of voice of the warning can be selected according to the danger level and a profile of the person. The method also includes initiating a distraction procedure directed to the person according to the profile; the distraction can include an audio message directing attention of the person to another object. Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for an extended reality safety and accessibility assistant. According to one aspect disclosed herein, a server computer can include a processor and a memory. The memory can include instructions that, when executed by the processor, cause the processor to perform operations. In particular, the server computer can receive a request from a user device. The request can include an image of a physical environment. The server computer can identify a structure within the image and can determine whether the structure is associated with a safety rating, an accessibility rating, or both. In response to determining that the structure is associated with a rating, the server computer can generate extended reality display data including an augmented reality object that is representative of the rating.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies disclosed herein are directed to time-based visualizations for network virtualization platforms (“NVPs”). A computer system can obtain data associated with an NVP. The data can include present state data associated with a present state of the NVP, past state data associated with a past state of the NVP, and future state data associated with a predicted future state of the NVP. The computer system can generate a visualization of the data associated with the NVP. The computer system can present a temporal management function that includes a plurality of selections representative of the present state, the past state, and the predicted future state. The computer system can receive a selection, from the plurality of selections, of the present state, the past state, or the predicted future state. The computer system can manipulate the visualization in accordance with the selection and output the visualization.

Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed for connecting a plurality of mobile devices in a videoconference over a cellular network via a videoconferencing server. At least one of the mobile devices includes a camera to capture a video of a participant in the videoconference. The video is transmitted to the videoconferencing server on the cellular network. The videoconferencing server edits the video and sends the edited video to receiving mobile devices in real-time. The receiving mobile devices output the video as a projection by using an internal mobile projector or transmit the video to an external display device. A sending mobile device may also act as a receiving mobile device, such that each of the participants may view video of other participants in his/her own background/environment while communicating with the other participants.

Abstract: A method and system for programming a universal remote control (URC) to operate with a remote-controlled device is disclosed. A user may be instructed to operate a control element of an original remote control (ORC) of the remote-controlled device. The control element of the ORC may be operated with consumer-premises equipment of the MCDN, which receives a code associated with the control element. The code may be used to identify the remote-controlled device and obtain corresponding programming codes. The URC may be configured to use at least one of the programming codes to remotely control the remote-controlled device.

Such example methods also include retrieving authorization rules correlating the input criteria to an authorization result for the outdial communication service call, the input criteria comprising a first input criterion having one of at least two values, a first value indicating that the outdial communication service call is for a real-time outdial service initiated in response to an indial communication service received at the message center, a second value indicating that the outdial communication service call is for a non-real-time outdial service initiated by an application server associated with the message center. Such example methods further include evaluating the authorization rules using the input criteria to determine whether the outdial communication service call is authorized.

Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products for displaying tag words for selection by users engaged in social tagging of content accessible via a communications network, are provided. A tag cloud, tag word inventory curve and slider control are displayed within a graphical user interface. The tag cloud is a visual representation of an inventory of tag words. The tag word inventory curve is a graphical representation of the words in the inventory by frequency of usage by others. The slider control is responsive to user movement, and is movable within a range that spans the length of the tag word inventory curve. Movement of the slider control changes the number of tag words from the inventory displayed in the tag cloud according to frequency of usage by others.

Abstract: A system to generate a response to a text-based natural language message includes a user interface, processing device, and a computer-readable storage medium storing executable instructions to generate the response to the text-based natural language message. The instructions and a method for generating the response include identifying a sentence in the text-based natural language message, identifying an input clause in the sentence, and parsing the input clause, thereby defining a relationship between words in the input clause. The instructions and method also include assigning a semantic tag to the parsed input clause, comparing the input clause to a previously received clause, the previously received clause being correlated with a previously generated response clause, and generating an output response message derived from the previously generated response clause.

Abstract: A method includes receiving data from a set-top box device at an access system via an access network, the data indicating a selection of a channel at the set-top box device, the data including a multicast group address. The method also includes sending copies of video data packets of the channel from the access system for storage in a first-in first-out cache associated with the channel. The method further includes automatically connecting the set-top box device to a multicast stream of the selected channel after a particular number of video data packets are sent to the set-top box device from the cache. The particular number of video data packets corresponds to a time period between communicating successive random access point packets of the channel and is less than a capacity of the cache.

Abstract: A portable telecommunication test set with a web browser incorporated therein is provided. A standard Hyper Text Mark-up Language or Wireless Application Protocol browser may be incorporated within the portable test set, allowing a network technician to access the Internet as well as other remotely-located sources of information to retrieve data and other useful technical information while in the field for communication network or telephone line maintenance, troubleshooting or repair. The test set may contain memory to locally store certain technical information that may be retrieved and “read” by the built-in browser module when prompted by the network technician. The web browser may display the content of the requested information on a display provided on the test set. Line-specific (as well as manufacturer-specific) test information need not be in a manufacturer-dictated proprietary format. Testing-related data may thus be supplied by a vendor other than the manufacturer of the test set.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and computer readable-media for adaptive media playback based on destination. The method for adaptive media playback comprises determining one or more destinations, collecting media content that is relevant to or describes the one or more destinations, assembling the media content into a program, and outputting the program. In various embodiments, media content may be advertising, consumer-generated, based on real-time events, based on a schedule, or assembled to fit within an estimated available time. Media content may be assembled using an adaptation engine that selects a plurality of media segments that fit in the estimated available time, orders the plurality of media segments, alters at least one of the plurality of media segments to fit the estimated available time, if necessary, and creates a playlist of selected media content containing the plurality of media segments.
