Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for facilitating updating a slot format used for establishing a radio sidelink. According an embodiment, a system can receive a slot format over a sidelink, wherein the slot format comprises a first release parameter and a transmit period. The system can further facilitate determining whether the first release parameter matches a second release parameter stored in the memory. The system can further facilitate, in response to the determining indicating that the first release parameter matched the second release parameter, updating a resource map used to transmit data, resulting in an updated resource map. The system can further facilitate transmitting the slot format based on the transmit period.

  • Publication number: 20240414199
Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards homoglyph attack detection. A homoglyph attack detection service can create images of customer's protected domain names. A convolutional neural network can generate feature vectors based on the images. The feature vectors can be stored in a similarity search data store. Newly observed domain names can be compared to the customer's protected domain names, by also generating feature vectors for the newly observed domain names and conducting approximate nearest neighbor searches. Search results can be further evaluated by comparing protected domain names to newly observed domain names using a siamese neural network which applies a similarity threshold. Newly observed domain names that meet or exceed the similarity threshold can be flagged for further action.

  • Patent number: 12165238
Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards presenting communications data to a responding entity that are relevant to an emergency situation at an emergency location. The communications data can be obtained from communications (e.g., text messages, transmitted video, voice calls and the like) that involve at least one user device at the situation, including communications that do not involve the responding entity. Users may opt in to such an emergency service to allow access to their communications, whereby their device locations are tracked and known in the event of an emergency. Upon obtaining the communications data, a responder can receive a view of the scene augmented with the communications data. The view can include a three-dimensional and/or two-dimensional representation of the zone/area of the emergency situation. Filtering can be used to eliminate irrelevant communications, and summarization can be used to combine generally redundant communications.

  • Patent number: 12167495
Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards intelligently steering a roaming mobile communications device to a roaming carrier that is preferred by the mobile device's home network. When a mobile device requests to connect to a first visited network, decision logic of the home network determines whether the first visited network is the preferred visited network. If not, the home network returns a steer message (via the first visited network) to steer the mobile device to a preferred visited network. In one implementation, the steering decision is performed at the network edge by a home security edge protection proxy (H-SEPP) node coupled to a visiting SEPP (V-SEPP) node, which reduces hops and latency. What the home network considers preferred can be changed (e.g., dynamically) as desired by the home network. Also described is service-based steering that selects a different visited network based on a particular service requested by a mobile device.

  • Patent number: 12164873
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, identifying an entity of a natural language question, locating a node of a knowledge graph corresponding to the entity, and generating a candidate answer set including a group of other entities located a predetermined proximity to the node. Contextual information for the group of other entities is determined from the knowledge graph, and the natural language question and contextual information are separately encoded to obtain separate encoded vectorial representations of the natural language question and members of the candidate answer set. The encoding uses pre-trained language model embeddings obtained via a bidirectional encoder representations from transformer encoding process. The encoded vectorial representations of the question under an influence of aspects of the contextual information are scored and a member of the candidate answer set selected according to the score to obtain an answer to the original question.

  • Patent number: 12167276
Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards a transport protocol for latency sensitive applications. The disclosed transport protocol is “semi-reliable” in that it allows for specification of an importance of data being transmitted, thereby allowing important data to be sent reliably, while other data can be dropped if necessary, e.g., under bad network conditions. A deadline can be specified for such other data, and if the other data cannot be sent prior to the deadline, it can be dropped. Furthermore, the disclosed transport protocol can allow for early discovery of network jitter. A client device can send regular acknowledgments which identify most recently received data packets as well as a number of “heartbeat transmissions” received at the client device. A server device can use the acknowledgments to discover and respond to jitter.

  • Patent number: 12167314
Abstract: Local weather information such as a nationwide emergency network for first responders can enable first responders to communicate nationally with a single network, linking to suppliers, utilities, and weather information. The system disclosed herein can provide data to first responders and data from first responders can provide insights into local conditions that can be utilized by edge data centers. Adding first responder data can improve the processing speed of moving of edge-based applications out of threatened data centers. Because this movement can also have an impact on low latency applications, identifying the closest edge sites without an impact can keep the applications operating.

  • Patent number: 12167086
Abstract: Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a system and method for selecting media content for a group of persons located at a venue. The system and method identify a plurality of viewers in a vicinity of a venue that has one or more display devices from location data and extracts a content viewing preference of each viewer from their profile data. The process includes aggregating the content viewing preference of each of the plurality of viewers to generate an aggregated content profile. Based on the aggregated content profile, a list of content is generated. Next, a first group of viewers approaching a viewing range of a display device are sensed by imaging data. Any conflicts between content viewing preferences of the first group of viewers are detected and resolved based on weighting the viewing preferences of the group. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 12167094
Abstract: The disclosed technology is directed towards creating a media content presentation for playback, based on user specified input criteria and playback instructions. A user specifies input criteria related to media source data. The media source data is accessed, and further based on the input criterion, matching segments (e.g., scenes and audio) are determined from metadata information that describes the segments; the media playback content is generated from the matching segments. A user may also specify criteria/instructions that describe how to play the matching segments, such as in linear order, or based on relative relevance such as scene impactfulness. A matching scene can be repeated, and/or augmented with annotation data. For any matching scene or transition between two matching scenes, specified playback speed and audio volume can be specified and applied. As part of generation, the media content presentation can be fit to a specified time constraint.
