  • Patent number: 10719777
Abstract: A method, computer-readable medium, and apparatus for modeling data of a service for providing a policy are disclosed. For example, a method may include a processor for generating a first policy for a first service by a first policy model using machine learning for processing first data of the first service, determining whether the first policy is to be applied to a second service, applying the first policy to the second service when the first policy is deemed to be applicable to the second service, wherein the applying the first policy provides the first policy to a second policy model using machine learning for processing second data of the second service, generating a second policy for the second service, and implementing the second policy in the second service, wherein the first service and the second service are provided by a single service provider.

  • Patent number: 10229410
Abstract: The present invention provides methods and apparatuses for verifying that a transaction is legitimate. The methods and apparatuses use protected memory space, such as kernel space of an operating system, or a separate memory space, such as is available on a SIM card of a cellular phone. The method of the invention proceeds by creating a transaction identification string (TID) and associating the TID with a transaction. The TID contains data relevant to or associated with the transaction and is typically readable by an end-user. The transaction is then interrupted until a user responds in the affirmative to allow completion of the transaction. Methods and devices used in the invention are particularly well suited to M-commerce, where transactions originating from a device are typically recognized by a merchant as coming from the owner of the device without further authentication.

  • Patent number: 9609655
Abstract: A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a non-transitory computer-readable storage medium operating in a mobile device server having computer instructions to execute a web server application in the mobile device server. The web server application can be operable to detect a resource control manager while roaming in a communication zone of the resource control manager, and to transmit a pairing key to the resource control manager. The web server application can also be operable to receive from the resource control manager authorization to pair with one or more resources selected by the resource control manager according to the pairing key, and to establish communications with the one or more resources selected by the resource control manager. Other embodiments are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 9571958
Abstract: An anonymous location wireless network service for use in a wireless network. The service provides content providers with the location of network users without revealing their identities. The service includes a wireless network having a proxy server, a network communication link to a plurality of web sites, and a wireless communication link to a plurality of handheld devices. The proxy server blocks identity by reading the location and identity information of network devices, generating dummy identifications, relating the dummy identifications to the identity information, storing the relationships in a memory storage, and forwarding the location information and dummy identifications to the global computer network. Upon receiving messages from the global computer network, the proxy server reads the dummy identifications, looks up the related identification information in the memory storage, and forwards the data to the appropriate network devices.

  • Patent number: 9497114
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture (e.g., physical storage media, such as storage devices and/or storage disks) to implement label stack identification for lawful interception of virtual private network traffic are disclosed. Example methods disclosed herein can include detecting a trigger that is to cause synchronization of label stack data associated with first virtual private network traffic to be intercepted, the label stack data used to route the first virtual private network traffic in a network. Such example methods can also include, in response to detecting the trigger, initiating execution of a first command on a first router in the network to determine a first label used to route the first virtual private network traffic in the network. Such example methods can further include determining a current label stack for the first virtual private network traffic based on the first label.

  • Patent number: 9479244
Abstract: A radio frequency (“RF”) repeater system can receive, from a connected home device, an original RF signal that is unable to propagate through an object. The RF repeater system can demodulate the original RF signal to extract a data stream that includes data captured by the connected home device, can change an original data rate of the data stream to a new data rate that matches an ultrasonic frequency capable of propagating through the object thereby creating an ultrasonic data stream, can transmit, by a first surface transducer, the ultrasonic data stream through the object to a second surface transducer, can receive, by the second surface transducer, the ultrasonic data stream, can change the data stream from the new data rate back to the original data rate, can modulate the data stream to create a new RF signal, and can transmit the new RF signal towards the destination.

  • Patent number: 8065364
Abstract: A particular method includes receiving, via an interactive voice response (IVR) unit, an audio content item during a first call. An indication of an insertion point at which to insert audio advertising in the audio content item is also received during the first call. The method further includes receiving via the IVR unit an audio advertisement during a second call. The audio advertisement is automatically inserted into the audio content item at the insertion point to create a package.

  • Publication number: 20090274252
Abstract: A method is disclosed that includes channel estimation for a multi-carrier modulation of a plurality of subcarriers. The method includes performing a first channel estimation to obtain a first estimate of a channel based on a received signal. The method further includes suppressing a portion of elements of the first estimate of the channel to obtain a suppressed estimate of the channel. The method also includes multiplying the suppressed estimate of the channel by a first matrix to obtain a delay restricted estimate of the channel.
