Abstract: A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) base station having a wireless transceiver, and a controller to manage the wireless transceiver. The controller can direct a communication device requesting wireless access to another WiMAX base station upon determining that granting wireless access to the communication device reduces an operating performance of the WiMAX base station below its operating threshold. Additional embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: Systems, methods and computer products for the logging of outgoing calls to an Internet Protocol Television call log. Exemplary embodiments include a method for logging outgoing communication requests related to an Internet-Protocol-enabled device, the method including receiving a request to initiate a communication request from an Internet Protocol-enabled device having an Internet-Protocol-enabled device address, mapping the Internet Protocol-enabled device address of a calling party to a calling party number, retrieving caller identification information associated with the called party and recording the caller identification information in a log associated with the Internet Protocol-enabled device.
Abstract: A method of controlling the operating parameters of a non-stationary wireless network to conform to jurisdictional regulatory requirements is disclosed. A mobile base system determines its location and checks the operating parameters of the transceiver in the mobile base station against a database to determine whether the regulatory requirements have changed because of its location and to effect such a change. The mobile base station may alter the operating parameters of the transceiver in order to comply with regulatory requirements.
Abstract: A system and method to control media display functions is disclosed. A system includes a processing logic and memory accessible to the processing logic. The memory includes instructions executable by the processing logic to perform a method including receiving input associated with a media display function. The instructions are also executable by the processing logic to determine one or more media devices to be controlled. The instructions are also executable by the processing logic to send first control data adapted to cause the media display function to be implemented at a first media device when the first media device is to be controlled. The instructions are also executable by the processing logic to send second control data when the first media device and a second media device are to be controlled concurrently. The second control data is adapted to cause the media display function to be implemented at the first media device and at the second media device.
Abstract: A system for presenting an electronic programming guide in a satellite communication system is disclosed. A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a satellite media receiver having a controller element to transmit to a portal information associated with an Electronic Programming Guide (EPG). The portal can process the information to present a Graphical User Interface (GUI) window corresponding to a slideable canvas of the EPG in an Internet browser of a communication device requesting the EPG. Abstract: Providing for detection of a missed mobile paging event, storing data associated with an initiating mobile device as a result of such event, and updating an undelivered call indicator (UDCI) for notification of at least an undelivered call count is described herein. Components can include a gateway routing component that can receive a communications request for a target mobile device, a data storage component that can store information related to an initiating mobile device where the target is deemed unavailable, and a UDCI component facilitating data aggregation related to the undelivered call count. The UDCI data can be selectively provided to independent of the stored information related to an initiating mobile device. The system can thus notify a user of the presence and count of stored information related to initiating mobile devices independent of the user's prior unavailability.
