Abstract: A modular connecting system including a first connector and a second connector. The first connector includes a main body and a plurality of lobes that extend radially outward from the main body. The second connector is capable of receiving the first connector. The second connector includes a connector opening with a plurality of lobe regions. The connector opening is sized to form a close fit with a perimeter of the first connector such that the first connector may be inserted along a connection axis into the connector opening when the plurality of lobes is aligned with the plurality of lobe regions. The second connector includes a plurality of lobe retention features spaced between neighboring lobe regions. The first connector is rotatable about the connection axis between a free state and a connected state while in a connecting position with the second connector.
