  • Patent number: 11004021
Abstract: Systems, methods, and software can be used to establish collaborative communications. In some aspects, a server receives a contact search request from an application of a first organization, the contact search request including contact information. The server determines a second organization, wherein the second organization is connected to the first organization to enable a user of the first organization to search a user directory of the second organization. The server determines a subset of the user directory of the second organization that can be searched by the user of the first organization. The server transmits, to the application of the second organization, the contact information and information of the determined subset of the user directory of the second organization. The server receives a contact search result from the application of the second organization. The serer transmits the received contact search result to the application of the first organization.

  • Patent number: 10846811
Abstract: A method for managing crisis-related communications includes storing, in a repository, data regarding entities and data indicating relationships between entities. Crisis-related information items are received from a plurality of originating entities. Each crisis-related information item includes metadata attributes. For each crisis-related information item, a set of recipient entities is identified based on the metadata attributes, and the data regarding entities and the data indicating relationships between entities stored in the repository. For a particular crisis-related information item, a new message associated with the particular crisis-related information item is composed. The new message is distributed to a corresponding set of recipient entities identified for the particular crisis-related information item.

  • Patent number: 10135971
Abstract: A device is configured to detect congestion and throttle phone calls in a telephone communication system. The device receives, from a telephone dialing system, an indication indicating that a call to a phone number has successfully ended. In response to the indication, the device determines that a set of initial digits of the phone number matches a flooding group number of a flooding group, where the flooding group has a capacity limit. The device determines that a maximum number of concurrent active calls for the flooding group during a predefined period of time is within a predetermined threshold from the capacity limit of the flooding group and that no failed calls have occurred for the flooding group during the predefined period of time. In response to the determining, the device increases the capacity limit of the flooding group.

  • Publication number: 20160307286
Abstract: In order to improve communication and coordination among organizations, an information-management system conducts managed communication (including tracked delivery and duplication avoidance) with information systems, information sources and electronic devices used by organizations. In particular, in response to a message about a current or potentially imminent event (such as an emergency or a crisis situation), the information-management system generates an inter-organization message about the event based on information-sharing rules of at least an organization in the organizations that specify sharable information across the organizations and non-sharable information across the organizations. These inter-organization messages include the sharable information and generalized information corresponding to the non-sharable information to control distribution across the organizations of information about: the organizations, members of the organizations, and/or the event.
