    Abstract: A servo for hydraulically operating a brake band of an automatic transmission includes a housing having a bore engaging portion for engaging an existing servo bore in a case of the automatic transmission and an external portion for positioning externally of the servo bore, the external portion of the housing including an interior bore. The servo also includes a piston disposed in the interior bore of the external portion of the housing for reciprocating movement, the piston being externally remote from the servo bore and having an outer diameter greater than an outer diameter of the servo bore. An actuator rod for engaging and operating the brake band of the automatic transmission is attached to the piston to reciprocate with the piston. The servo connects to existing hydraulic circuits within the servo bore to supply pressurized fluid for operating the servo.

    Abstract: An auxiliary oil pumping system for an automatic transmission includes an auxiliary oil pump, the auxiliary oil pump being separate from an internal oil pump of the transmission but connected to an oil circuit of the automatic transmission to circulate oil in the system. An oil pump motor is connected to the auxiliary oil pump and selectively connectable to a power source for driving the auxiliary oil pump when a vehicle engine is off and the internal oil pump is not operating.

    Abstract: A shaft system for an automatic transmission includes a stator support shaft having an internal axial bore for receiving an input shaft, a forward engagement portion for engaging a stator of a torque converter of the automatic transmission and an integral stator support flange extending radially outward for engaging a stator support of the automatic transmission and transferring to the stator support substantially all of a torque load imposed on the stator support shaft by the stator. The stator support flange includes at least one oil flow bore positioned therein to supply oil between different components of the transmission.

    Abstract: An automatic transmission line pressure regulator includes a first body for installation in a valve bore distant from a line pressure valve and having a threaded bore passing therethrough, a threaded adjuster axially engaged in the threaded bore and rotationally adjustable with respect to the first body, a second body for installation in the valve bore and engagement with the threaded adjuster and a spring for installation between and engagement with the second body and the line pressure valve. Rotation of the threaded adjuster with respect to the first body alters an axial position of the adjuster, the second body and a first end of the spring, thereby altering a pre-load on the spring to alter a resistive force against movement of the line pressure valve caused by line pressure, and thusly, regulates line pressure.

    Abstract: A supercharger drive pulley includes an inner hub and an outer drive pulley. One of the inner hub and the outer drive pulley is drivingly connected to a drive shaft of a supercharger for driving the supercharger and the other of the inner hub and the outer drive pulley is drivingly connected to an engine for being driven by the engine. A one way drive clutch is drivingly engaged between the inner hub and the outer pulley to allow driving torque from the engine to be transmitted to the supercharger in one direction and to allow the supercharger to freewheel in conditions where it overruns the engine.
