Abstract: An audio cable connector with selectable impedance includes low impedance interface circuitry and high impedance interface circuitry, and a user-operable switch to allow a user to select either of the two impedances to connect to a headset microphone. With the audio cable connector in communication between a headset and equipment, the user may select the appropriate impedance interface circuitry to allow the headset to operate properly with the equipment.

Abstract: A tactical vest worn communication control hub has cables extending to transceivers, a headset, and PTT switches. The cables are operationally interconnected within the hub by a circuit board to enable the switches to control operation of the transceivers to receive and transmit and to convey audio signals to and from the headset. The hub is configured to be removably attached to the rear of the vest.

Abstract: A spacer and tether device for adapting a multiconductor plug includes a spacer configured to position a plug having multiple conductors at a predetermined distance from a jack having fewer conductors so that one or more conductors of the plug are not inserted into the jack, allowing the remaining conductors of the plug to properly align with the conductors in the jack. A tether attaches at one end to the spacer and at an opposite end to the housing of the plug so that the spacer is secured to the plug for use when required.

Abstract: A communications headset includes bone vibrating transducers supported over the temporal bones of a wearer in front of each ear and an earpiece. The earpieces, when not in use, are magnetically couplable to a transducer housing. Radio signals received by a wearer or vehicular mounted radio are processed by and distributed through a communications interface to both the transducers and the earpiece speakers. Ambient or external noises picked up by one or more microphones on each earpiece are processed to reduce ambient noises above a certain level.
