Abstract: The present invention provides monofilaments or stretched tapes, unwoven or woven into raffia, prepared with metallocene-produced polyethylene having long chain branches.
Abstract: The invention relates to a novel transparent block copolymer and its process for the manufacture. The process comprises a first partial killing of at least the living copolymeric species R-S1-B1-M with a multi-functional deactivation agent where S1 is a monovinyl-substituted aromatic homopolymer, B1, is a conjugated diene homopolymer, M is an alkali metal and R is an alkyl (RM being an initiator) and further comprises a second total deactivation of at least the living tapered block copolymeric species R-S1-B1-B2/S2-M (obtained by adding a feed B2/S2 to the reaction medium) by a mono-functional deactivation agent (the terminating agent).
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for preparing silica-alumina carriers preferably under the form of extrudates. Further, the present invention also provides hydrogenation catalysts prepared thereof. These catalysts are used in an improved process for the reduction of the aromatic hydrocarbons content present in hydrocarbon streams.

Abstract: A polypropylene fibre including at least 80% by weight of a first isotactic polypropylene produced by a metallocene catalyst, and from 5 to 20 by weight of a second isotactic polypropylene produced by a Ziegler-Natta catalyst.
Abstract: Polypropylene having improved long chain branching increased melt strength obtained by irradiating polypropylene with an electron beam having an energy of at least 5 MeV and with a radiation dose of from 5 to 100 kGray in the presence of a grafting agent, the branching index of the obtained polypropylene being lower than 0.7.
Abstract: A polypropylene fibre including a polypropylene blend comprising up to 15% by weight of sPP at least 10% by weight of a first isotactic polypropylene produced by a metallocene catalyst, and optionally a second isotactic polypropylene produced by a Ziegler-Natta catalyst.
Abstract: Provided is a method for the production of a reinforced polymer, which method comprises:
(a) introducing carbon nanotubes into a polymer to provide a mixture of the polymer and the nanotubes;
(b) stretching the mixture at or above the melting temperature (Tm) of the polymer to orient the carbon nanotubes; and
(c) stretching the mixture in the solid state to further orient the carbon nanotubes.
