Patent number: 4785605Abstract: A molded roof section for use with dwelling units includes a domed main body portion which is arranged with a leading edge, an opposite trailing edge, and two side edges. The leading edge is configured with strengthening ribs and a defined groove while the trailing edge also including strengthening ribs is configured with a tongue such that the leading edge of one roof section may be assembled to the trailing edge of the contiguous roof section by a tongue-in-groove assembly concept. The side edges of said roof section are arranged with downwardly opening channels which are spaced so as to correspond to the spacing between dwelling unit sidewalls. Each roof section is molded of a high-density polymer foam as a homogeneous, unitary member and each roof section may be easily and readily lifted in place and lowered onto the sidewalls such the sidewalls fit into the downwardly opening channels of each section.Type: GrantFiled: January 25, 1988Date of Patent: November 22, 1988Assignee: Atrium Structures, Inc.Inventor: Louis J. Patent number: 4685260Abstract: An arrangement of dwelling units for multiple-family housing includes a plurality of elongate units which are arranged relative to one another in a quadrangle configuration such that a major portion of one side of each unit cooperates with the major portion of a side of the other three units to generally enclose an open-air court. Each elongate unit is of a double width comprising an outer single-wide section which is assembled to an inner single-wide section at the building site. This enables each of the single-wide sections to be preconstructed at a plant and then transported over the highway to the actual construction location. Additionally, each of the elongate units is arranged with a living section and adjacent thereto a storage section which may be a garage area.Type: GrantFiled: August 12, 1986Date of Patent: August 11, 1987Assignee: Atrium Structures, Inc.Inventor: Louis J.
