Abstract: A detection device provides a voice signal of a person and includes a light source, a first planar carrier medium, a second planar carrier medium, a sensor device, and an evaluation device. The first planar carrier medium includes an input coupling region and an output coupling region. The second planar carrier medium includes a light input coupling region and a light output coupling region. Light from the light source is emitted into the second planar carrier medium and output in the direction of a front neck region of the person, and the light reflected on the neck region is input into the first planar carrier medium and output out of the first planar carrier medium. The output light is detected by the sensor device which provides sensor data to the evaluation device which converts the sensor data into vibrational data and provides the voice signal.

Abstract: A method for operating an exhaust system of a vehicle having an internal combustion engine upstream of the exhaust system and having an energy network is provided. Abstract: A device for activating/deactivating an airbag function of an airbag assigned to a vehicle seat in a vehicle, having an identification system for occupant identification and having an evaluation unit, by which the occupant located on the vehicle seat is classifiable on the basis of the sensor data of the identification system. The evaluation unit activates or deactivates the airbag function in dependence on the occupant classification. The identification system has a plurality of different sensors, i.e., an interior sensor, an exterior sensor, a vehicle seat sensor, a belt sensor, a baggage compartment sensor, and/or a speech recognition sensor. The evaluation unit carries out the occupant classification on the basis of all sensor data.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for detecting unauthorized data traffic in a packet-oriented data network of a motor vehicle, wherein at least one data packet is read out of the data network by a processor circuit, and header data of each data packet is checked for link information indicating that the data packet belongs to a communication link that is permitted for the operation of the motor vehicle. If the data packet is recognized as belonging to a permitted communication link, payload data of the data packet is checked to determine whether data values of the payload data have a value profile that is provided for the communication link. If a permitted communication link or a permitted value profile for the data packet is missing, a detection signal is generated to identify the data packet as unauthorized data traffic.
Abstract: A method detects an arc fault in an electrical circuitry. The electrical circuitry includes a controller, an energy storage and a plurality of loads each connected to the energy storage via a respective load path. A current measuring device determines current measurement values describing an energy storage current is assigned to the energy storage. Voltage measuring devices for determining voltage measurement values describing a load voltage at the respective load are assigned to said loads. The current measurement values and voltage measurement values are continuously transmitted to the controller via at least one communication link.

Abstract: A camera apparatus records only those objects in a surround which are situated in a predetermined object plane at a distance from the camera apparatus.
