Abstract: A method for manufacturing commutator for use in rotary electric machines, in which a shaping material prepared from electrically conductive metal powder material or a mixture of the metal powder material and additive powder material such as carbon, molybdenum disulfide, etc. is placed in a shaping mold and subjected to compression-molding into annular or cylindrical shaped electrically conductive body, then an electrically insulative synthetic resin material is coated around, or filled in, the hollow cavity of the annular or hollow cylindrical body, and thereafter this annular or cylindrical body is machined to be divided into a plurality of segments for constituting the commutator.
Abstract: A brush device for a miniature electric motor of a type, wherein the commutator brush is inserted into a brush holding member made of a leaf spring which is generally bent in the form of a letter "L", one side of which is in a slightly bent form at about the middle portion thereof with a brush fitting portion being provided at the extreme end thereof, and the other side of which is rectilinear with a fitting portion to the main body of the motor being provided at the extreme end thereof.
Abstract: A brush device for a miniature electric motor of a construction, in which a brush comprising a brush main body and a brush head part having a smaller size than the brush main body is forcibly inserted into an opening of a substantially corresponding size shape to the brush head part which is perforated in one part of a brush holder made of a leaf spring in a strip of narrow breadth, and an electrically conductive adhesive agent is applied to a fitted portion of the brush head part and the perforated opening, depending on necessity, stages or shelves formed at the boundary of the brush head part and the brush main body due to difference in size therebetween serving as stopper means which stops further insertion of the brush upon full, forced insertion of the brush head part into and through the perforated opening.
Abstract: A brush device for a miniature electric motor constructed with a brush holder made of a leaf spring having a pair of flaps for holding a commutator brush, which are opposed each other along the longitudinal direction of a flat surface part, and which are formed in an inwardly bent shape, a guide member for insertion of the commutator brush formed at a corner of each of the pair of flaps, and a fitting member for the brush holder onto the main body of the motor; and a commutator brush having a head part to be inserted and held between said pair of flaps provided along the side edges of the flat surface part of the brush holder.
