Abstract: Devices and systems are disclosed herein for drawn arc stud welding. These systems and devices are extremely portable (<50 lbs.), deliver enough power for up to ¾? diameter studs, and include a charging circuit, an energy storage device comprising a plurality of low ESR ultracapacitors, and a discharge circuit. The systems and devices can include a lithium nickel manganese cobalt oxide (LiNiMnCoO2) battery to supply the energy storage device with about 20 to about 30 amps of current between welding operations.
