    Abstract: A safety installation for carrying children in a vehicle. The safety installation comprises a framework to be fastened to a seat of the vehicle, a net structure attached thereto and fastening belts to connect the net structure to the framework. To insure that a carrying portion of a pram or the like to be arranged within the safety installation stay safely in place in case of sudden breakings, crashes, or the like, shock absorbing elements running parallel to the net structure are attached to the framework of the safety installation, the shock absorbing elements together with the fastening belts forming a firm holder for the carrying portion of the pram.

    Abstract: The winder comprises a mandrel 4 rotatively mounted in a support 1 and around which the strap of the safety belt is wound. The mandrel is biased by a torsion spring in the winding direction and a locking device, adapted to lock the mandrel 4 against rotation and prevent the unwinding of the strap, is provided. The locking device comprises a first element 9 rigid with the support 1 and adapted to cooperate, under the control of an acceleration detector, with a second element 7 which is driven by the mandrel 4 for locking the mandrel against rotation. One of the first and second elements comprises projections for engagement in recesses provided in the other element 9. Abutment devices 10 are provided on one of the first and second elements for preventing, in normal use of the winder, the full engagement of the projections in the recesses. The abutment devices are destructible in the event of impact resulting in a sudden pull on the strap.

    Abstract: A self-locking winder for a safety belt comprising a mandrel (5) rotatively mounted in a support (1) and on which is wound the strap of the belt, the mandrel being biased by a torsion spring (63) in the winding direction, and a locking device (16, 19, 28). The latter locks the mandrel against rotation in the event of impact and prevents the unwinding of the strap. The mandrel comprises a sleeve (6) of moulded plastics material in which is mounted a metal reinforcing bar (9). A reel (11) is mounted on the sleeve and receives the strap. The sleeve is directly journalled in the support.

    Abstract: A receiving part for a safety belt for vehicles, wherein the band of the safety belt has a disc shaped coupling tongue which can be introduced in between two disc shaped guiding plates, and wherein the receiving part has a locking body, which, when the coupling tongue and the receiving part are coupled together, holds the coupling tongue and moreover is movable in a direction transverse to the guiding plates. A wedge shaped operating member is displaceable along the outside of at least one of the guiding plates with the wedge angle of the operating member being formed between the outside of the guiding plate and a side of the operating member facing away from the same, the locking body having shoulders, which extend along the outside of the guiding plate and which rest on the outer wedge side of the operating member with supporting or sliding surfaces extended in the direction of movement of the operating member.

    Abstract: Activation device for a safety belt for a vehicle comprising a body of inertia located in a supporting cup, and an operating member cooperating with said body of inertia and with a stop mechanism for the reel shaft of the safety belt including a ratchet wheel and pawl, whereby when said body of inertia moves from a neutral position in said cup in response to an abnormal change in movement of the vehicle it causes said operating member via connecting mechanism to move said pawl into engagement with said ratchet wheel, said activation device being rotatable about a horizontal center axis of said supporting cup and displaceable about a circle having the same center as the reel shaft.

    Abstract: A device for tightening a safety belt for vehicles provided with an inertial switch adapted to sense abnormal changes in the movement of the vehicle, a motor being arranged to activate the safety belt by means of a cylindrical inertial body connected thereto. The body under normal operating conditions is under rotation, and activating means is also provided to connect with the inertial body to tighten the safety belt when such abnormal changes in movement take place, thereby utilizing the energy of the rotating body for tightening of the belt.

    Abstract: Device for stretching a band forming part of a safety belt for a vehicle which takes up any slack of the band and stretches same towards the body of a user when there is an abnormal change in the speed of the vehicle comprising a rotatably mounted winding-up core for the band having a cam at one end located within a housing, an arm journalled in the housing and pivotable between a position in the path of movement of the cam and a position outside of said path. In the inactive condition of the device the free end of the arm is positioned in the path of movement of the cam and defines with a surface of the cam and the walls of the housing a closed expansible chamber. An ignitable gun powder charge is held in the free end of the arm and there is means for igniting same when there is an abnormal change in speed to cause expansion of the chamber, rotation of said cam and movement of said arm to outside of the path of movement of the cam, and rotation of the core in the winding-up direction.
