Abstract: A system and method to prepare and dispense a N2 or N2/CO2 gas infused chilled beverage is provided. The beverage may be any non-carbonated liquid and in one embodiment the beverage is coffee. The dispensed N2 or N2/CO2 gas infused chilled coffee has a unique appearance and enhanced flavor and aroma. The system may be provided as a self-contained unit.
Abstract: Embodiments provide a beverage dispensing mechanism that is configured to dispense a beverage at a flow rate of at least 2.5 oz/sec. The beverage dispensing mechanism includes a flow control module (including a top plate, a plurality of buttons coupled to the top plate, and a plurality of tube subassemblies), a handle, a nozzle module (including a nozzle, and a diffuser formed of a diffuser base and a water diffuser) and a split heel cover that fits over the tube subassemblies. In some embodiments, the flow control module may be snap-fitted on the handle. The modular design of the beverage dispenser allows for ease of repair and replacement of various components.

Abstract: An apparatus for mixing and dispensing viscous food products is described herein. The apparatus may include a pump device for drawing the viscous food product from a container and distributing over a rotating turntable. The apparatus includes a cassette device with replaceable pliable food containers connected to the pump device through a friction-fit connection. The cassette device includes a sliding roller assembly and a door, with the container installed between the sliding roller assembly and the door such that the roller assembly applies force against the door and container as the sliding roller assembly descends under gravity. The sliding roller assembly includes level indicators visible through the door that provide visual indication of the level of food product remaining within the container.

Abstract: Disclosed is a post-mix beverage dispensing nozzle. The dispensing nozzle includes an input fitting, a cap, an insert, and a body. The dispensing nozzle defines a first flow path and a second flow path. The first flow path flows from a first input port offset from a central axis of the dispensing nozzle to a mixing chamber. The second flow path flows from an input port offset from the central axis of the dispensing nozzle to the mixing chamber. At the point of the mixing chamber both the first flow path and second flow path have uniform flow rates in all radial directions around the central axis.

Abstract: A system and method to supply nitrogen gas is provided. Ambient air is compressed and stored in a storage receiver and then nitrogen is separated from the compressed air in a nitrogen membrane separation unit. The separated nitrogen is stored in a nitrogen storage tank under pressure and released through a pressure control valve. The system is confined to a small footprint and is useful as a nitrogen source where conventional compressed nitrogen tanks are a safety or space issue. Systems to prepare nitrogen infused beverages are also provided.

Abstract: A system for preparing and dispensing a nitrogen infused beverage is provided. The system includes a beverage concentrate container in fluid connection, through a first flow controlling point, with a nitrogenated beverage liquid mixing point, a nitrogenated water supply in fluid connection, through a second flow controlling point, to said nitrogenated beverage liquid mixing point, wherein said nitrogenated water supply includes a water supply in fluid connection with a liquid/gas contactor unit having a controlled pressurized supply of a gas includes at least 50% by weight nitrogen supplied thereto, and a nitrogen infused beverage line in fluid connection from the nitrogenated beverage liquid mixing point to a beverage faucet of a faucet tower, wherein the beverage faucet is a faucet such that the infused beverage in the nitrogen infused beverage line remains under pressure during dispense of the beverage from the faucet.

Abstract: A beverage dispensing apparatus including at least one multiple lever-switching assembly where the lever assembly has a plurality of levers and valves configured to dispense fluids, flavorings, syrups, and optionally pressurized gas through one or more channels in each of the assemblies. The levers are part of a mechanical hydraulic system, that is not reliant on electrical connections to control or regulate the dispensing of fluids. Each set of levers can operate independently or in combination with other levers on the assembly, and can further actuate individual valves or more than one valve within the body of each assembly.
Abstract: A beverage dispensing apparatus having a nozzle and multiple fluid lines in fluid communication with the nozzle where the beverage dispensing apparatus has a body with a plurality of apertures, a plurality of buttons, each protruding through a respective one of the apertures and configured to control a flow of fluid through a respective one of the multiple fluid lines, the plurality of buttons having at least one active dispensing button configured to mechanically dispense a fluid and at least one remote dispensing button, and a remote dispensing device located remotely from the body configured to regulate dispensing a fluid through one of the multiple fluid lines so that when the at least one remote button is depressed, the remote dispensing device dispenses a fluid through the fluid line.
Abstract: A method of dispensing fluids with variable carbonation. The method includes receiving a selection of a carbonation level of a beverage and determining a valve timing scheme to achieve the selected carbonation level.
Abstract: A beverage dispensing system including a control unit and a touch screen. Inputs are made to the touch screen to dispense beverages and apply system adjustments. The control unit controls a plurality of beverage dispensing valves according to inputs made to the touch screen.
