Patents Assigned to Automatic Connector, Inc.
  • Patent number: 4714432
Abstract: A hermetic seal is formed of a compound which is applied with low viscosity to a form located between a center contact and a body of a coaxial connector. The compound is cured without heat or pressure by subjecting it to ultraviolet light. The viscous material completely seals the coaxial connector and when hardened forming an excellent hermetic seal. Apparatus for holding the coaxial connectors vertical to receive the compound is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4688876
Abstract: A connector for a coaxial cable has a central conductor adapted to be connected to the central conductor of a coaxial connector. A first insulator is fixedly held on a central conductor and has an outwardly extending ridge. A pair of other insulators are held in abutting relationship in an outer conductor assembly, the other insulators defining a recess receiving the ridge of the first insulator. The assembly of the central conductor at first insulator may be axially snapped into the assembly of the other insulators and outer conductor.

  • Patent number: 4340265
Abstract: A multi-pin/coaxial assembly is disclosed in which an electrically conductive molded shell is employed which includes an integrally molded connector plate having apertures into which the outer conductors of the coaxial cables are inserted making electrical contact. Additionally, another aperture is provided integrally formed in the shell to which is attached a power ground lead thereby providing a common ground for both coaxial lines and power lead. Additionally, the assembly contains power leads which are insulated from the ground.

  • Patent number: 4093335
Abstract: An electrical connector for solid dielectric-filled coaxial cables which comprises three main elements is disclosed. A central contact wedge assembly is adapted to fit into a body and is held there by means of a nut assembly screwed into the body. Gripping means are provided between the body and wedge to prevent twisting of the cable and conductor as the connector is assembled. A lubricated washer located in the nut assembly further enhances the anti-twist action of this invention.
