Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a machine for cutting off leads of specific length from electric wire and for processing and equipping the ends of the wire leads. The machine comprises an endless conveyor which bears pairs of close-set clamps and a paying-out station for the wire which pays out the latter tangentially to the conveyor. Cams cause the clamps of each pair to pivot by a quarter revolution in reverse direction from one another. A balance rod forms in the wire situated between two clamps, loops of specific length.
