Abstract: A Laser therapy device that uses temperature sensing to provide clinical feedback and optical elements to produce a projection pattern for a given therapeutic application. Integrated thermal imaging provides the operator with visual representation of the tissue being treated. The optical elements are contained in a replaceable lens assembly that also contains an electronic identification chip to allow the device to automatically reconfigure behavior according to the type of lens. The device includes a wireless data transceiver that can be used for remote configuration and control. The device has the ability to modulate the output power over a wide range using a combination of pulse width modulation (PWM) and analog control techniques. The device provides on-demand audio-visual training.
