Abstract: Therapeutic bandages or support wrappings in the form of elongated strips of stretchable material carrying a pocket on one surface are used for therapeutic treatment and support of facial and jaw tissues. The pocket material is non-elastic and moisture-impervious. A thermal packet positioned in the pocket is held adjacent an affected body part and compressive force applied thereto by adjusting the tension on the elastic wrapping strip.
Abstract: Visual indication of compressive force applied by a compression bandage is provided by forming a continuous pattern of repeated geometric shapes in the bandage strip with indicator yarn. The continuous pattern is formed so that the shape of each geometric design is changed when tension is applied to the bandage and the shape of the deformed pattern is indicative of compression force applied.

Abstract: A winding bandage for applying a compressive force to a body part including a knitted fabric strip comprised in part of a hydrophobic primary warp yarn, an elastic secondary warp yarn and a weft yarn. Flexible self closure members are attached to one or both ends of the fabric strip adapted to engage the fabric strip after the bandage has been stretched about the body part so as to secure the bandage thereto.
