Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a series of tensioning straps that are applied to the trampoline frame under tension. The tensioning straps serve to stiffen the trampoline frame which improves performance. The tensioning straps may be improved via the application of various sideways straps as well. The tensioning straps and the sideways straps may reside in channels or loops on the trampoline edge pad in order to further secure the edge pad in place.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a high-tension safety net that may be attached to a trampoline using a plurality of safety poles. The safety poles may be attached to the frame of the trampoline. The safety poles include a plurality of top caps, each top cap adapted to receive and hold a tether attached to the safety net. The safety net may include a high-tension line at its top that attaches to the plurality of tethers. The safe net may be attached to the trampoline following a set of assembly procedures that does not require trampoline assembly workers of average height to use a ladder to attach the safety net.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a plurality of support bars that may be fitted to the corner of a trampoline frame to provide increased stiffness for the trampoline frame. The support bars may be placed over or in the vicinity of the trampoline's legs to create a zone of increased stiffness. The support bars may also serve as an entry point to the trampoline such that the trampoline user need not stand on the trampoline's suspension system (e.g., helical springs) in order to enter the trampoline. The user may be protected from the support bars by the use of an edge pad filled with an energy absorbing material.
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide a zipper attached safety layer applied between a flexible mat and an edge pad of a trampoline. The safety layer moves with the flexible mat and prevents a user from accidently inserting an appendage into the suspension system (e.g., coiled springs) of the trampoline. Embodiments of the invention further relate to a trampoline comprising such a zippered safety layer and to a method of arranging the safety layer in a trampoline.
