Abstract: Disclosed herein are kits and methods for quantifying the amount of collagen in a test sample. The kits and methods described involve the use of undenatured type II collagen as a standard for producing accurate and reproducible results with respect to quantifying the amount of collagen in a sample used in cosmetics, food products, and pharmaceuticals or nutritional supplements.
