Abstract: An ergonomic applicator is provided for applying a cosmetic composition to the eyelashes. The applicator comprises a handle portion and a head portion wherein the longitudinal axis of the head portion is positioned or can be rotatably positioned with respect to the longitudinal axis of the handle. The handle being suitable dimensioned for holding between the thumb and fingers without rotation of the handle. The head portion having at its distal end means for holding a charge of cosmetic composition and transferring it to the eyelashes on contact therewith, such as but not limited to bristles.
Abstract: Described herein is a cosmetic composition comprising a mixture of metal oxide pigments having different shapes and sizes which provides high coverage and a natural look upon application.
Abstract: Packages for cosmetics are provided including an applicator that engages with a wiper component of a container in a manner such that the applicator and wiper are capable of moving together in one or more directions within the container, including without limitation, vertically, horizontally, diagonally, rotationally, and any combination of such movements. This increased range of mobility permits the applicator element to access more of the cosmetic material within the container than heretofore possible.
Abstract: The invention relates generally to nail strips that may be adhered to human finger and toe nails. The strips are provided in the form of a sheet having a plurality of cutout strips in the general shape of a nail which may be peeled from the sheet. The nail strips may be decorated by printing user-created or selected designs using a home printer. The size and/or shape of the nail strips may be adjusted by selecting and detaching an appropriate perforated edge from the sheet backing.
Abstract: The compositions and methods of described herein comprise novel ingredients effective to reduce unwanted pigmentation, such as skin discoloration, freckles, age spots, liver spots, sun damage, tans, pigmented acne marks, scars, pigmented birthmarks, hyperpigmentation, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, post-injury hyperpigmentation, melasma, cholasma, after-burn scar, nail stain, yellowing of skin, dark circles under eyes, and the like.
