Patent number: 11861557Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices disclosed herein may be collectively referred to as a “platform.” A platform consistent with embodiments herein may be used by individuals or companies to track an amount of liquid poured from at least one liquid container. The platform may comprise a tracking device and a computing hub in operative bi-directional communication. The device that may be configured to a liquid dispensing container such as, but not limited to, a bottle. The device may be configured to receive a liquid from the container and transfer the liquid through a chamber within the device. As the liquid is transferred through the device, a computing element and sensing component integrated within the device may be configured to track an amount of liquid dispensed through the device. A communications module may then communicate the data with the hub.Type: GrantFiled: May 17, 2021Date of Patent: January 2, 2024Assignee: Aware Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Vince Anido, Justin Park

Patent number: 9482674Abstract: A method of detecting antibodies to syphilis antigens includes providing a syphilis detection kit having a screening solid-phase platform with a screening portion coated with non-treponemal syphilis antigens. The screening portion is fabricated by initially dissolving cholesterol in an organic solvent and further diluting the dissolved cholesterol in an ethanol solution comprising cardiolipin and lecithin to form an antigen solution, permitting the antigen solution to evaporate at the screening portion and at least partially coating the screening portion with an antigen coating, and stabilizing the antigen coating into a syphilis antigen complex by overcoating the antigen coating with an overcoat solution comprising an inert protein.Type: GrantFiled: September 10, 2015Date of Patent: November 1, 2016Assignee: Awareness Technology Inc.Inventors: David J. Kiefer, Oscar R. Compain

Patent number: 8456626Abstract: The present invention is directed to a luminometer and methods which provides simple and effective measurement of a plurality of wells in a plurality of strips in an automatic fashion. The luminometer may be used in CLIA (Chemi Luminescent Immuno Assays). The luminometer allows for CLIA micro strip reading, and reads break-apart wells, with a plurality of wells per strip, and calculates results instantly and automatically. The luminometer has an automatic carrier positioning system which selectively positions the plurality of wells in the plurality of strips at a measuring position, wherein the drive system associated with the positioning system drives the carrier along a single axis of movement. An optical track system automatically provides Y axis movement of the carrier. The luminometer may have a calibration system for maintaining proper operation of the system in measurements therewith.Type: GrantFiled: July 26, 2007Date of Patent: June 4, 2013Assignee: Awareness Technology, Inc.Inventors: Gary Freeman, Valerie Almeter

Patent number: 7280040Abstract: The invention comprises systems and methods of creating and maintaining a communications network. It includes a wearable system, a deployable system, an array of physiological sensors, an array of environmental sensors, and the integration of these into a multi-nodal voice and data communication system. The primary communications network is composed of body-worn communications nodes comprising sensors, wearable audio/video communications gear, and wireless digital transceivers. The deployable system supports and extends the body-worn network by providing wider communications coverage, situational environmental monitoring, and navigational aid. The deployable system is composed of small, self-contained, robust network nodes. Each such node combines environmental sensors, a digital wireless “repeater,” and a navigational beacon capability integrated in a hardened, robust package. Nodes are carried by team members and deployed when needed to extend the range of the communications or sensor network.Type: GrantFiled: March 22, 2005Date of Patent: October 9, 2007Assignee: AWare Technologies, Inc.Inventor: Richard W.
