  • Publication number: 20120153515
Abstract: A die stamper assembly comprises a first die part for holding a first stamper and a second die part for mounting a second stamper, the die parts cooperating to define a mould cavity. The first stamper is mounted at a boundary of the first die part and the second stamper is mounted at a boundary of the second die part. The die stamper assembly further comprises a venting ring configured around and moveable with respect to the first die part and defining an outer boundary of the mould cavity. A venting holder arranged for holding the circumference of the first stamper and positioned between the first die part and the venting ring to attach the first stamper on the first die part allows venting of air escaping from the mould cavity and prevents leaking of plastic material out of the mould cavity.

  • Patent number: 7220116
Abstract: Injection moulding mould part consisting of a mirror and a venting ring that can be moved with respect thereto. A wear-resistant coating has been applied to the mirror and/or the interface between the two parts that can be moved with respect to one another. This coating consists of hard metal based on tungsten with a minimum thickness of 0.01 mm and more particularly with a thickness of at least 0.1 mm. This coating is applied with an HP-HVOF process (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel).

  • Patent number: 7014457
Abstract: Mould assembly (1) consisting of two interacting mold sections (2, 3). One mold section is provided with a seat (4) and the other mould section with a body (5, 6) that is accurately accommodated by the seat (4), the body/seat interaction having a centering effect. The seat (4) is delimited by a series of ridge-shaped elements (8) that are arranged according to an annular shape. The rigidity thereof in the radial direction is greater than that in the axial direction.

  • Patent number: 6530766
Abstract: An auxiliary device is disclosed for use with an injection molding apparatus for manufacturing disc-like information carriers. The device includes a holding device for holding an insert plate in a desired position, and a transporter, with at least two heads, for transporting successive insert plates between a plate supply holder and the mold. Each head centers and properly positions each plate within the mold using a tapered centering pin which extends from the head and into the mold wall.

  • Patent number: 6461143
Abstract: Injection mold for manufacturing disc-shaped plastic objects with a central hole, which mold comprises: a first mold part; a second mold part displaceable relative to this first mold part; which two mold parts are displaceable between a closed first position, in which they together partially bound a mold cavity corresponding to the shape of an object for manufacture, and an open second position in which a formed object can be removed; a third mold part which in an active position extends through the mold cavity and in the region of this mold cavity has a shape corresponding to the shape of the central hole, which third mold part is axially displaceable relative to the first and second mold parts between said active position and a retracted rest position; which third mold part bounds with the guide sleeve a channel which is connectable to the injection nozzle of an injection molding device, which channel can be opened and closed by means of a valve consisting of a valve seat which is formed by a part of the in

  • Patent number: 6322350
Abstract: A mould for manufacturing disc-like objects including at least two mould parts which are mutually movable between a closed position in which they bound a mould cavity, which mould cavity is connected to an injection conduit for admitting heated, plasticized plastic under pressure into said mould cavity, and an opened position in which a disc-like object can be removed. The mould also has a device for removing a central portion from a disc-like object to form a central hole present therein, which device comprises a cylindrical part which is movable in axial direction in the closed situation of the mould cavity. The mould has the feature that at least one of the two mould parts is tempered only in the middle zone of the mould cavity for tempering the inflowing plastic during the inflow thereof via the pressure line and thus during the filling of the mould cavity.

  • Patent number: 6264459
Abstract: An injection moulding unit includes at least two injection moulds for manufacturing disc-like objects. The injection moulds each further include two mould parts which are mutually displaceable between a closed position in which they bound a mould cavity and an opened position in which the disc-like object can be removed. The mould cavity is connected to a pressure line for carrying heated plastic into the mould cavity. A punching means is provided for punching a central hole through the disc-like object. The punching means includes a cylindrical part forming a portion of one of the mould parts and has a leading peripheral edge. The respective pressure lines of the injection moulds are branches of a feed line and together therewith form part of a collective multiple hot runner. The outlet zone of each feed line is configured to couple to an infeed of an injection bush. An outfeed of the injection bush debouches directly into the mould cavity.

  • Patent number: 6238197
Abstract: An injection mould for manufacturing plastic objects generally includes: two mould parts mutually movable between a closed position and an open position, which mould parts bound in closed position a mould cavity into which in the closed position heated plasticized plastic can be injected by means of supply means, wherein one flat end surface of the mould cavity carries a mechanical pattern, which pattern corresponds with the information for arranging on an information carrier to be manufactured, wherein at least a part of the surfaces is provided with a coating not containing TiN and which reduces a coefficient of friction of the relevant surface to a value which amounts to a maximum of 60% of the value obtainable a coating of TiN; wherein at least one of the cylindrical inner surface and the cylindrical outer surface is provided with the coating.

  • Patent number: 6056530
Abstract: An auxiliary device is intended to be added to an injection moulding device for manufacturing disc-like information carriers. The injection moulding device comprises a mould having two mold parts which in a closed situation bound a mould cavity. An insert plate can be position against an end wall of the mould cavity, on which plate is found the information to be recorded onto the information carrier. Received in a supply holder are insert plates which can be transported by a mechanical device from and to the end wall. Positioning of the insert plates by the mechanical device takes place such that each insert plate is brought into a convex state, is placed with its central zone against the end wall and the convex form is then removed for stable positioning of the insert plate in flat state. The desired centering is thus achieved in simple manner, while friction between the insert plate and the wall is essentially prevented.
