Abstract: A sample holder and method is disclosed. In one example, the sample holder is for spectrophotometric measurements of a sample using a transflection technique. The sample holder comprises a sample receiving chamber comprising a diffusive mirror, wherein a curvature of the diffusive mirror is adapted to a curvature of a surface of the sample and/or adapted to a curvature of a surface of a container comprising the sample. Further, a sample holder for spectrophotometric measurements of a sample using a transmission technique is disclosed. The sample holder comprises a hollow light guiding channel, wherein an inner wall of the hollow light guiding channel is covered by a smooth reflective coating and is configured to encase at least partially a tubular part of the sample or of a container containing the sample along a circumferential direction of the tubular part of the sample or of the container.

Abstract: A measurement chamber extension for a spectrophotometric characterization with a NIR-spectrophotometer of a Raman-spectrophotometer of a liquid in a polymer container, wherein a measurement chamber extension comprises: an adapter plate having an adapter opening; a container holder, and an optical element, selected from a mirror and a waveguide. The adapter is configured to cover in a light-tight manner the measurement chamber of the NIR-spectrophotometer or of the Raman-spectrophotometer. The container holder is configured to allow a close placement of the optical element adjacent to the polymer container containing the liquid providing a loss-free transmission or transflection of the measurement light beam from the optical element to a detector of the NIR-spectrophotometer or Raman-spectrophotometer.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for determining a finished medicinal product, having the following steps: providing a finished medicinal product to be determined in closed primary packaging; measuring an NIR measurement spectrum for the finished medicinal product to be determined through the closed primary packaging; comparing the NIR measurement spectrum with an NIR reference spectrum, which is associated with a medicinal product or an active ingredient of a medicinal product; and determining that the finished medicinal product to be determined contains the medicinal product or the medicinal product active ingredient when the NIR measurement spectrum and the NIR reference spectrum correspond within a margin for error. The invention further relates to a device for determining a finished medicinal product.
