  • Patent number: 7213774
Abstract: An air brush having a simple structure which can be easily disassembled and assembled without use of any particular tool, for improvement in maintenance performance. In the air brush, a needle to open/close a nozzle member is inserted through an air brush main body. Compressed air supplied from an air valve is blown out of the nozzle member. The compressed air is introduced to the nozzle member and sprayed, with supplied paint, by operation of a finger hooking mechanism. The air brush main body and a tail case are connected via a screw connection member, and a needle chuck is fit-inserted and supported unrotatably but withdrawably. A spring case is fitted around an outer periphery of the needle chuck and screw-engaged in a rear opening of the screw connection member, and a coil spring is elastically set in the spring case. A needle stopper screw is screw-engaged with the needle chuck projected rearward from the spring case.

  • Patent number: 6779742
Abstract: In contrast to the conventional air brush, an air brush in the invention has a function in which even a beginner can easily perform an operation for pulling an operating rod little by little while the operating rod is slightly pushed and pulled at an initial stage of the drawing of a line requiring a technique and an experience. The operating rod arranged in an air brush main body forms a slanting face therein projected on the front face of this operating rod while the slanting face is inclined from below to above, and this slanting face abuts on the front side edge of a notch port of the air brush main body. An air valve is opened every small amount and a needle is simultaneously retreated every small amount in a range in which the slanting face of the operating rod and the front side edge of the notch port come in contact with each other and are slid at the initial stage of an operation for pushing and moving the operating rod.

  • Patent number: 6691931
Abstract: An air brush. The brush includes an adjusting function, in which without bringing about an increase in manufacturing cost, the adjusting function for arbitrarily adjusting a retreating position of a needle is provided and blowing-off of a certain amount of coating material can be easily performed. The air brush is constructed by detachably and threadedly connecting a cap member to a rear section of an air brush body in such a manner that the cap member covers an adjusting screw and a rear portion of the needle. An abutting portion is provided in an interior of the cap member and the chuck adjusting screw is adapted to be abutted against the abutting portion upon retreating of the chuck adjusting screw retreated by the operation of an operating lever.

  • Patent number: 6431466
Abstract: An air brush to draw fine lines and in particular super-fine lines in a small blow-out area, maintain an ideal proportion of air and paint spray from the nozzle, and draw smoothly without spots, ink scattering or omissions by means of operating button of an operating lever formed with a support piece installed in an operating button of an operating lever. A through rod is vertically inserted through an insertion hole in the support piece. A contact piece is attached at the bottom of the through rod. A locking mechanism is provided to clamp the through rod in any desired position or support the through rod for up and down movement. The air brush is configured so that bottom surface of the contact piece may contact with and separate from the top surface of an air brush main body. By tilting the operating lever and causing the contact piece to slide along in contact with the upper edge of the air brush main body, a balanced amount of paint and air can be blown from the nozzle.

  • Patent number: 6105881
Abstract: An air brush having an easily installed nozzle member and a cost-effective extremity end member. The nozzle member is held between a nozzle cap and an outlet end of the main body of the air brush. The nozzle member is made such that it's front and rear parts are substantially conical in shape. An insertion hole extends through and is formed in the nozzle member. The rear part of the nozzle member is inserted into the tapered hole at the outlet end of the main body of the air brush. The front part of the member is internally fitted into the nozzle cap and secured. The nozzle member is made such that it's outlet end is composed of the extremity end member. The extremity end member is made of SPM material which is harder, stronger and more durable than the other portions of the device, and the extremity end member includes a very strong nozzle section in order to prevent the occurrence of corrosion or cracks.
