Abstract: A method (3600) and system (2800, 2900, 3000, 3100) autonomously create a restore point for a luminaire controller (2810, 3110) and restore it to proper operation when required. The luminaire controller operates by using first operating software having a first software image, and receives a second software image of second operating software. The luminaire controller communicates the first software image to a first device (2820, 3120) connected to the luminaire controller via a communication network (2805, 3105), installs the second operating software, and performs a self test of the luminaire controller. If the luminaire controller fails the self test, the luminaire controller requests via the network that the first device transfer the first software image to the luminaire controller via the network, receives the first software image, installs the first operating software, and reverts to operation with the first operating software.

Abstract: In an example embodiment, a plurality of sequences of instances of probe data are received. Each sequence of instances of probe data is captured and provided by a probe apparatus comprising a plurality of sensors and is onboard a vehicle. An instance of probe data comprises location information indicating a location of the corresponding probe apparatus and the instances are ordered by capture time to form the sequence of instances. A travel direction of each probe apparatus is determined based on the corresponding sequence. Each probe apparatus is matched to a lane of a road segment based on the determined travel direction and a predetermined vehicle lane pattern. The vehicle lane pattern comprises at least one reversible lane. Probe apparatuses matched to the at least one reversible lane are identified. An active direction is determined based on the number of identified probe apparatuses corresponding to each travel direction.

Abstract: A bend restriction element (1) is modular for forming a tube segment (12) all around a conduit through locked interlocking circumferential interconnection of multiple similar such elements (1). The tube segment (12) is modular for forming an articulated tube (100) around the conduit through locked interlocking longitudinal interconnection of multiple similar such tube segments (12). The locking of the circumferential interconnection of the elements (1) is ensured both by the manner of interlocking of a tube segment concerned (12) with a tube segment (16) situated on one side thereof, and by the manner of interlocking of the tube segment concerned (12) with a tube segment (14) situated on the other side thereof.
Abstract: A target structure such as an alignment mark on a semiconductor substrate becomes obscured by an opaque layer so that it cannot be located by an alignment sensor. A position for the mark is determined using an edge position sensor and relative position information that defines the position of the mark relative to one or more edge portions of the substrate is stored prior to formation of the opaque layer. A window can be opened in the opaque layer, based on the determined position. After revealing the target structure, the alignment sensor can, if desired, measure more accurately the position of the target structure, for use in controlling a further lithographic step. The edge position sensor may be a camera having an angle-selective behavior. The edge position sensor may be integrated within the alignment sensor hardware.

Abstract: A level shifter circuit to translate a first voltage level and a second voltage level of a signal is disclosed. The level shifter circuit includes a comparator. The comparator includes an input differential transistor pair with a matched current mirror load. The level shifter also includes a parallel signal path circuit to reduce the voltage transition lag caused by the comparator, a hysteresis adjusting device and a reference voltage generator circuit to provide a reference voltage to the comparator.
Abstract: A lighting control module comprises an interface for receiving a dimming setting and a memory for storing the dimming setting. Based on the dimming setting, an output circuit generates a dimming control signal for application to a conventional dimming interface of a lighting driver circuit. For this purpose, power is received from the dimming interface. This provides a simple to use way to implement a controllable brightness, which makes use of a dimming driver but used for a luminaire which does not need to be within a networked dimmable system architecture.
