Abstract: An apparatus has a first component with a first surface and a second component with a second surface, wherein the first and second components can undergo relative movement. The first surface and the second surface face each other. The first surface accommodates a barrier system to provide a barrier to reduce or prevent an inflow of ambient gas into a protected volume of gas between the first and second surfaces. The barrier system includes a curtain opening adapted for a flow of curtain gas therefrom for establishing a gas curtain enclosing part of the protected volume, and an inner entrainment opening, located inward of the curtain opening with respect to the protected volume, adapted for a flow of inner entrainment gas therefrom for being entrained into the flow of curtain gas. The apparatus is configured such that the inner entrainment gas flow is less turbulent than the curtain gas flow.

Abstract: Automatic machine for inserting in an homogeneous and metered manner into stuffed articles of various kind, in particular but not exclusively clothes articles, of stuffing material of various kind such as polyester fibers, plumage and the like, adapted to maintain the heat into the same articles. Machine into which it is introduced the stuffing material contained into bags or containers provided by the producing and transforming firms of the same material, and such material is introduced and collected into a collecting and stocking container, from which the material is let to fall into underlying weighing containers communicating with the container, for weighing the material by loading cells, and the weighed material is subsequently transferred into an injection station adapted to insert and inject the same material into the pockets or spaces of each clothes article.
Abstract: The burner (100) comprises a cylindrical porous substrate (110); and an end cap (130) at a first end of the cylindrical porous substrate (110). The cylindrical porous substrate (110) is provided for flow of a premix of combustible gas and air from the outside of the cylindrical porous substrate (110) through the pores of the cylindrical porous substrate (110) to an interior cavity (140), for the combustible gas to be combusted on the inner surface of the cylindrical porous substrate (110) thereby generating hot gas. The burner has an opening (182) at the second end of the cylindrical porous substrate (110) to exit the hot flue gas out of the interior cavity (140). The cylindrical porous substrate (110) has a higher permeability section (170), located at the opening (182) at the second end. The higher permeability section (170) has a lower resistance to gas flow than other sections of the cylindrical porous substrate (110).
Abstract: Drone space is defined according to a building model and a buffer space. At least one three-dimensional geometry is identified from the building model. The buffer space is calculated from the three-dimensional geometry. Coordinates for a drone air space are defined based on the buffer space. At least one path segment may be identified based on the coordinates for the drone air space, and the coordinates for drone air space are stored in a map database in association with the at least one path segment.

Abstract: Disclosed are an inspection method and apparatus and an associated lithographic apparatus. The inspection method comprises illuminating a structure with inspection radiation of a selected wavelength, the structure being of a type comprising a plurality of layers (for example a 3D memory structure). The resultant diffraction signal is detected a physical property of a subset of said layers is determined from said diffraction signal. The subset of layers for which said physical property is determined is dependent upon the selected wavelength of the inspection radiation.
