Abstract: A mechanism for restraining pipe against both internal and external forces at a pipe or fitting connection and to join and seal at least two pipes to form a pipeline featuring an improved restraint mechanism. The restraint mechanism includes a circumferential casing and a companion grip ring, both of which are received within a mating groove provided in the belled end of a female pipe. The grip ring is made up of a series of arc-shaped gripping elements which are interconnected by discrete elastomeric segments. The gripping elements are separated by gaps so that a flexible hinge region is created by the elastomeric segments between adjacent gripping elements. The elastomeric segments provide both axial and radial spring action to the assembly.

Abstract: An aircraft lavatory is disclosed herein. The aircraft lavatory includes a standard access door providing access to the aircraft lavatory from at least one of an aisle, a cross aisle, or a passageway of an aircraft, a first moveable wall adjacent the standard access door, the first moveable wall having a first end and a second end and configured to move between a closed position and an open position, the first end of the first moveable wall configured to rotate about a first pivot point, and a second moveable wall adjacent the first moveable wall, the second movable wall having a first end and a second end and configured to move between a closed position and an open position, the first end of the second moveable wall configured to rotate about a second pivot point.

Abstract: A passenger seat row, for a vehicle such as a passenger aircraft, convertible between passenger seats and bunk beds. The passenger seat row includes a frame assembly including a backrest extending substantially a length of the frame assembly, the backrest configured to move between a stowed condition against the frame assembly and a deployed condition forming a substantially horizontal bed. Armrests attached to the frame assembly reposition to support the bed when in the deployed condition. In use, deploying the backrest forms a first bed positioned over the second bed to form a bunk bed sleeping provision for use, for example, during flight.

Abstract: A method and system of predicting drug-drug interactions (DDIs) may include receiving: (a) a DDI data structure, representing known DDIs between baseline drugs, (b) a plurality of baseline drug data elements, comprising line-notation descriptions of chemical structure of corresponding baseline drugs, and (c) a substance data element, comprising a line-notation description of a chemical structure of a substance of interest. Embodiments may calculate one or more similarity metric values, representing structural similarity between the substance of interest and specific baseline drugs, and select a subset of the baseline drugs based on the one or more similarity metric values. Embodiments may subsequently predict DDI between the substance of interest and a target baseline drug, based on (i) the selected subset of baseline drugs and (ii) the DDI data structure.

Abstract: An aircraft lavatory is provided that includes a standard access door providing standard access to the aircraft lavatory from an aisle, cross aisle, or passageway of an aircraft and a persons with reduced mobility (PRM) access door providing PRM access to the aircraft lavatory from a space adjacent to the aisle, cross aisle, or passageway, where, responsive to the PRM access door being opened, the PRM access door is configured to provide a first opening for a person with reduced mobility to move from a PRM mobility device located in the space adjacent to the aisle, cross aisle, or passageway into the lavatory, and where, responsive to the PRM access door being opened, the standard access door is configured to provide a second opening for assistance to be provided to the person with reduced mobility.

This arrangement moves part of the complex detent mechanism away from the retaining handle.

Abstract: A vehicle galley insert cold treat making system for making slushy product and ice cream product. The system including a slushy unit configured to make a slushy product and an ice cream unit configured to make ice cream product. Also provided is a cooling system configured to cool the slushy unit and the ice cream unit; and a dispensing unit. The slushy unit and the ice cream unit are connected to the dispensing unit for selectively dispensing slushy product and ice cream product. The machine can produce at least two different types of cold treat while only being a single galley insert and thus only requiring a single compartment in the galley, the system can improve overall passenger and staff experience and safety without compromising other services.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and articles for a portable power case are disclosed. The portable power case is comprised of at least one battery and at least one PCB. The portable power case has at least two access ports, at least two leads, or at least one access port and at least one lead and at least one USB port. The portable power case is operable to supply power to an amplifier, a radio, a wearable battery, a mobile phone, and a tablet. The portable power case is operable to be charged using solar panels, vehicle batteries, AC adapters, non-rechargeable batteries, and generators. The portable power case provides for modularity that allows the user to disassemble and selectively remove the batteries installed within the portable power case housing.

The systems have a first ingredient comprising a beta carboline alkaloid and a second natural ingredient that includes a phenolic acid where the systems and compositions provide superior antimicrobial benefits.
