Patents Assigned to Baby Dan A/S
  • Patent number: 10221618
Abstract: The invention relates to a child safety gate which occupies as little space as possible when the gate is open. The child safety gate comprises two or more panels (1, 2, 3, 4) interconnected by at least one hinge (5). The panels are mounted in the opening via at least one fitting (10) connected with an end panel (3) at one side. At least one closure device (12, 13) is connected with an end panel (4) at the other side. The hinges (5) may be connected with the panels (1, 2, 3, 4), so that the panels may be folded inwardly over each other when the gate is opened. A panel top (8) and/or a panel base (9) may be connected with the panels. The panels (1, 2, 3, 4) may comprise two panel parts which may be telescoped. An extension panel may be disposed between the panel parts.

  • Patent number: 7481471
Abstract: A child safety barrier with a door secured in a U-shaped frame has a locking device which cannot be operated by children. The locking device has an activation unit which, when receiving a signal from a signal generator, releases the locking device so that the door may be opened or closed, which, in one embodiment, must take place within 2-4 seconds of the point of time when the signal generator is activated. The activation device may be formed by a mechanical activation mechanism, while the signal generator may be a push-button, an electric voltage or a remote control using a connection of the type IR, Bluetooth or the like. In a preferred embodiment, the activation device is connected with a push/pull rod whose one end is connected with a relay, while its other end is connected with a movable post extending inside a column in the U-shaped frame to which the door is secured.

  • Patent number: 7422048
Abstract: A foldable safety barrier to be secured in and removed from a door opening, comprising a frame having a covering member (28), such as a piece of fabric, said frame being formed by upper and lower cross members (1, 2) connected with first and second lateral posts (3, 4) by means of four angle brackets (5, 6, 7, 8), each of which has first and second legs, and constructed such that the upper (1) and lower (2) cross members consist of two pipes (9, 10) which are mutually displaceable, while the first and second lateral posts (3, 4) consist of two pipes (13, 14) which are interconnected by means of lockable hinge links (15, 19). The outer dimensions of the hinge links (15, 19) correspond to the outer dimensions of the lateral posts (3, 4).

  • Patent number: 7281300
Abstract: A hinge for a child safety barrier, consisting of first (1, 9) and second (2, 10) bracket parts, wherein the first bracket part is formed with a pin (4) whose free end is formed with a shoulder (5). The second bracket part (2, 10) is formed with a hole (7) with two sections, where the first section has a larger diameter than the second section. This provides an edge between the two sections, which, together with the shoulder (5) of the pin, serves as a lock between the two bracket parts. If the length of the pin is larger than the length of the section of the smallest diameter, then the two hinge parts may be displaced relative to each other in the direction of the pin, which is an advantage when the hinge is used in connection with child safety barriers. The two bracket parts of the hinge are formed with respective locking parts which cooperate such that when one bracket part is displaced relative to the other bracket part, the bracket parts may be rotated relative to each other.
