Patent number: 8701882Abstract: A container for goods having an axial dimension is provided, comprising a first end support having four corners and being oriented in a first plane, a second end support having four corners and being oriented in a second plane spaced axially from the first plane, at least two connecting rails having first and second ends, the first ends being removeably connected to the first end support and the second ends being removeably connected to the second end support, each rail being connected to a different corner of the first end support and a corresponding corner of the second end support, wherein at least one good may be suspended between and supported by the first end support and second end support.Type: GrantFiled: March 18, 2010Date of Patent: April 22, 2014Assignee: Badger Plug CompanyInventor: Ted Voissem

Patent number: 6899226Abstract: A container for goods having an axial dimension has a pair of supports spaced apart axially relative to the goods for supporting the goods. A reinforcement extends between the supports and is connected to each of the supports at at least four spaced-apart locations. The locations are selected so that a first imaginary planar surface connects a first two of the locations on one of the supports to a first two of the locations on the other of the supports, and a second imaginary planar surface connects a second two of the locations on one of the supports to a second two of the locations on the other of the supports. The two imaginary surfaces form a dihedral angle within the range of 10 to 60 degrees opening towards the top side of the container. Even if it has no top and bottom walls, the container is triangulated and quite rigid.Type: GrantFiled: April 3, 2002Date of Patent: May 31, 2005Assignee: Badger Plug CompanyInventor: Ted J. Voissem

Patent number: 5480106Abstract: A core plug to be placed within a steel coil is provided with a gap in its circumference and a bridge selected to be of a length to span the gap resiliently with its end held in fixed positions in the core plug so that the core plug may be installed within a steel coil with the bridge bowed inwardly after which the bridge may be snapped over center to bow outwardly and hold the core plug snugly within the steel coil.Type: GrantFiled: July 8, 1994Date of Patent: January 2, 1996Assignee: Badger Plug CompanyInventor: Ted J. Patent number: 5351825Abstract: A plug is provided for use in packaging roll goods rolled about a hollow, substantially cylindrical core. The plug is adapted for coupling with the core to assist in fixing the position of the roll goods. The plug comprises a cylindrical portion designed to fit within the core with a small clearance so that the axes of the core and the plug are substantially coincident with each other. A flange extends from the cylindrical portion and is engageable with an axial end of the roll goods to limit relative axial movement of the plug and the roll goods with respect to each other. A nose extends axially from the substantially cylindrical portion in spaced-apart relation to the flange. The nose is substantially conical, has a base diameter substantially equal to the diameter of the cylindrical portion, and tapers to a vertex spaced apart from the cylindrical portion.Type: GrantFiled: December 31, 1992Date of Patent: October 4, 1994Assignee: Badger Plug CompanyInventor: Thomas J.
