  • Patent number: 11927460
Abstract: Diverse types of crew interfaces (400, 430, 450) are provided for outputting visible, audio and tactile information to a pilot for flight control. A unified estimation of the current aircraft state and of a current phase of flight are made (110), based on flight status information. Respective coordinated visible, audio and tactile presentations for the diverse types of crew interfaces are generated, (120) coordinated so that they provide mutually consistent indications of the unified estimation of the current aircraft state, according to the unified estimation of current flight phase. The respective coordinated presentations are output (130) by the diverse types of crew interfaces to the pilot. By coordinating crew interface outputs across sight, sound and touch senses, this can relieve the pilot of workload in interpreting unsynchronised or incoherent outputs from different types of interfaces.

  • Publication number: 20240075528
Abstract: A method of additive manufacturing an article from a feed material in a chamber includes evacuating at least some of a first gas from the chamber, thereby reducing a pressure therein from a first pressure to a second pressure and reducing the first gas from a first concentration to a second concentration. At least some of the first gas is then gettered from the chamber using a getter, thereby lowering the first gas concentration to a third concentration. The article is then additive manufactured from the feed material in the chamber using the getter as a substrate. The gettering comprises heating the getter at least in part using a fusion source, and the additive manufacturing comprises heating the feed material at least in part using the fusion source.

  • Patent number: 11911197
Abstract: Techniques are provided for x-ray sensing for intraoral tomography. A methodology implementing the techniques according to an embodiment includes detecting an x-ray pulse based on energy received at one or more pixels of a pixel array. The method also includes integrating the energy received at each of the pixels of the array of pixels, in response to the detection, wherein the energy received at each of the pixels is associated with the x-ray pulse. The method further includes multiplexing readouts of analog signals from the array of pixels into two or more parallel channels. The method further includes simultaneously converting (or otherwise in parallel) the analog signals of each of the channels into digital signals and storing the digital signals in memory as frames of data. The method may further include, for example, transmitting the frames of data from the memory, over a Universal Serial Bus, to an imaging system.
