  • Patent number: 11287520
Abstract: A system and method for using coherent aggregated bandwidth over multiple transmissions for improved performance of precision guidance and positioning and of object tracking systems. Angular offset (Az/El) estimations are strongly impacted by interference between direct and (comparable amplitude) ground-reflected signals. In rough ground situations, there could be many ground reflected signals. Bandwidth aggregation as used herein achieves sharper range sidelobes and smaller magnitude multipath interference terms resulting in increasingly accurate interferometric results.

  • Patent number: 11280617
Abstract: The dual mode INS high performance system using an IMM mixing method presented in this disclosure utilizes a MEMS-based IMU as the inertial sensor due, in part, to low cost and low power consumption. A dual filtering system, one with fifteen state EKF and the other with twenty one state EKF is mixed in real-time to address dynamic overlapping and continuous transition from a low dynamic mode to a high dynamic mode. The IMM estimation scheme is employed to compute the real-time mixing coefficients via the IMM probability mixing formulation. The present disclosure is applicable to earth to orbit platforms, spinning projectiles, and the like to successfully reconstruct the object's state estimate vector even under a high angular rate and high g operating environment.

Abstract: A lens assembly for a weapon sight includes a first lens having an optical axis and a focal plane array (FPA) coaxial with the optical axis of the first lens. A first parameter of the first lens is selected that minimizes an error in image shift when the weapon sight lens assembly is adjusted for focus. The first parameter of the first lens can be at least one of a lateral position, axial displacement, thickness, effective focal length, material, effective focal length, radius of curvature, conic constants, and higher order aspheric coefficients of the first lens. A sensor can detect a position of the lens and a processor can compare the measured position to an ideal position and use a lookup table to display a corrected reticle position or corrected scene. • Publication number: 20220082339
Abstract: A heat sink assembly includes a thermally conductive support member configured to be attached to a heat source and a heat sink. An adjustable mechanism is configured to moveably connect the thermally conductive support member to the heat sink. The adjustable mechanism permits the heat source to be moved relative to the heat sink without requiring access to the adjustable mechanism. The heat sink assembly provides a mechanically adjustable and supportive system having a thermally conductive path for heat removal from the object. The integral movable adjustment mechanism permits the thermally conductive member to translate without loss of the thermal path between the two ends. The heat source can move and become rigidly fixed in location without direct access. A compression mechanism may provide a continuous force between the support member and the heat sink as the support member is translated to permit movement of the heat generating source.
