  • Patent number: 10481192
Abstract: A system for testing lightning pin injection Tests (indirect lightning effects) simultaneously on multiple pins of an equipment under test (EUT). A plurality of impedance-balancing elements which receive the source signal and generate multiple test input signals. Respective impedance-balancing elements are configured such that each of the test input signals meets test signal requirements defined in a test scenario. The multiple test input signals are output through the impedance-balancing elements, which serve to provide a balanced current at each individual corresponding pins of the EUT under test, when the test on the EUT begins.

  • Publication number: 20190025052
Abstract: A system for detecting a position of an object includes a position sensor and a demodulator. The position sensor receives a first excitation signal, senses a displacement of the object with respect to a reference point based on the first excitation signal, and generates first and second sense signals based on the first excitation signal. The demodulator receives the first sense signal and the second sense signal from the position sensor, performs a first cross-correlation calculation between the first sense signal and a second excitation signal and a second cross-correlation calculation between the second sense signal and the second excitation signal, determines displacement of the object with respect to the reference point based on results of the first and second cross-correlation calculations, and determine a position of the object based on the displacement.

  • Publication number: 20180337822
Abstract: Method and system for assigning addresses to end point devices in a network includes placing a mobile device in close proximity to a first end point device and establishing a wireless connection, transmitting an auto-addressing command from the mobile device to the end point device in response to the connection being established and disconnecting the connection in response to the end point device being configured with the network address. As the mobile device is moved through the system, when the wireless signal strength between the mobile device and a respective the end point device exceeds a threshold, both devices recognize that they are in close proximity and the mobile device transfers the address configuration information to the end point device. By moving the mobile device through the system the steps are automatically repeated until the mobile device assigns address and location information to each end point device on the network.

  • Publication number: 20180166888
Abstract: Intelligent safety management for a battery is performed by applying a charging voltage to the battery, monitoring an actual charge level of the battery, determining a first charging voltage and a first charge level for the battery for charging the battery, and determining a second charging voltage and a second charge level for the battery that substantially reduces or eliminates a safety hazard associated with the battery. The second charging voltage is less than the first charging voltage and the second charge level is less than the first charge level. • Patent number: 9950639
Abstract: In one aspect, a system for torsional damping of electric traction drives comprises dual Kalman filters to correct for oscillations based on measured traction motor speed and commanded traction motor torque. A first Kalman filter can perform a state space estimate of the shaft torque providing negative feedback to the final torque command in order to eliminate resonant components from the commanded torque and quickly damp external disturbances. A second Kalman filter provides a state space estimation of the load torque or, equivalently, load acceleration. This second Kalman filter can ignore commanded torque and can provide a damping feedback when the wheel speed deviates from the vehicle speed.
