Abstract: An antenna positioner provided on a deployable vehicle. The antenna positioner includes a base and a frame having a plurality of plates oriented at an angle relative to one another. Each plate may include a low band antenna and a high band antenna. The base is located inside a chamber of the deployable vehicle. The frame is movable relative to the base between a collapsed position, where the entire frame is positioned within the chamber, and an extended position wherein at least a portion of the frame extends outwardly through an opening in the deployable vehicle's exterior wall. The frame is pivotally engaged with the base and a gearing mechanism pivots the frame between the collapsed position and the extended position to arrange the antennas at a desired orientation relative to the deployable vehicle's exterior wall so as to maximize the antenna's near-vertical Field of View (FoV).

  • Patent number: 11391959
Abstract: Techniques are provided for laser illumination employing closely spaced laser beams. A system implementing the techniques according to an embodiment includes a semi-cylindrical optical block comprising a curved surface and a planar surface. The system further includes two laser sources configured to direct first and second laser beams to the curved surface, such that the first laser beam enters and exits the block parallel to and offset from the planar surface by a selected translation distance, and the second laser beam enters the block at a critical angle relative to the planar surface. The critical angle is associated with total internal reflection of the second laser beam along the planar surface, such that the second laser beam exits the block parallel to, and separated from, the first laser beam exiting the optical block. The separation of the exiting first and second laser beams is controlled by the selected translation distance.

  • Patent number: 11394414
Abstract: A method of mitigating interference in a received wireless signal by adaptive digital filtering efficiently deploys computational resources by using at least one of a DDC, weight generator, and scrubber to perform calculations necessary to generate a plurality of output streams. Embodiments transition a weight generator and scrubber between receiver frequencies according to a known frequency hopping pattern of an FHSS transmission. Other embodiments dedicate scrubbers to receiver frequencies while transitioning a weigh generator between the frequencies to generate sets of weights that can be persistently used by the scrubbers. Embodiments generate sets of weights according to one received multipath signal copy, and then apply the generated weights to filter additional multipath copes received at the same frequency. Various embodiments dedicate a DDC to each receive frequency to form a bank of down-converted outputs, from among which each weigh generator can select primary and reference inputs.

  • Patent number: 11378646
Abstract: The discriminability of an RF fingerprint is increased by “abstracting,” “enhancing,” and “reconstructing” a digital signal before it is transmitted, where the abstraction is a reversible nonlinear compression, the enhancement is a modification of the abstracted data, and the reconstruction is a mapping-back of the abstraction. During a training phase, for each individual RF transmitter, RF fingerprints are analyzed and candidate enhancements are modified until a successful enhancement is identified that provides satisfactory discriminability improvement with minimal signal degradation. The successful enhancement is implemented in the RF transmitter, and the RF fingerprint is communicated to receivers for subsequent detection and verification. Reinforcement learning can direct modifications to the candidate enhancements. The abstraction can implement a deep generative model such as an auto-encoder.
