  • Patent number: 9936802
Abstract: A height adjustable desk or table is disclosed wherein a specially configured base includes a middle cabinet having an interior and side cabinets that protrude forwardly from the middle cabinet. An elevating desk top or panel is movable between elevated and lowered positions. A specially configured cable group or assembly or sleeve containing cables extends out from the middle cabinet interior and through a laterally extending slot (e.g., oval) or opening as the desk top or panel elevates. The cables can include power cables and data cables. In one embodiment, the specially configured sleeve is of flexible or fabric or woven material. • Patent number: 6935250
Abstract: An improved elevating table apparatus provides a plurality of at least three telescoping legs that support a table top having an underside and an upper surface that provides a work surface upon which can be placed computers, office equipment and the like. A gear cluster is provided at the top of each leg that includes a plurality of gears, preferably bevel gears, that are engaged during use. Each leg has a hollow interior that holds a generally vertically extending, externally threaded rod, the rod having an upper end portion with a gear that forms a part of the gear cluster and a lower end portion that threadably engages a section of the leg. A single crank provides a drive shaft with a gear that forms a part of one of the gear clusters. A plurality of connecting linkages or connecting rods are provided that connect a center of the gear clusters to each of a pair of side gear clusters.

  • Patent number: 6510803
Abstract: A height adjustable table includes a frame that has a pair of spaced apart, generally vertical frame sections, each supported upon a foot, a transverse, generally horizontal section that connects at its end portions to the vertical sections and a pair of lifts that are supported by the vertical frame sections to. elevate between extended, higher elevational and retracted, lower elevational positions. The lifts support a table top with a work surface. The frame is in the form of a universal base that accepts a number of different mechanism including, for example, a counterbalance mechanism, a motor drive mechanism, and a manually operable mechanism. These mechanisms can be selected by a user, depending upon the type of table that is to be manufactured. This enables the user to pick and choose a mechanism so that the manufacturer can use the same universal base in the construction of three different table designs. A plurality of panels are provided that cover the frame.
