Abstract: Cloth feed control unit of a cleaning device for printing machine cylinders. Provided is a position sensor (30), which generates signals linearly in proportion to the radial variations in the distance of the peripheral surface of a cleaning roller (8, 10) from the position sensor (30). The signals can be used to calculate the length of a cleaning cloth that is on a cloth roller and/or to control the cloth feed. The cloth feed control is carried out preferably in combination with signals of an encoder (44), which detects the rotation-increments of a cloth roller.

Abstract: Web breakage monitoring device for web-fed rotary printing presses; containing a detection device (26) for detecting a longitudinal web edge strip (22, 24) of a printable web (8) and a pneumatic deflection device (30) with at least one compressed-air nozzle (32, 34) for generating a pneumatic deflection force at right angles to the web plane on the longitudinal web edge strip adjacent to the detection device; a control device (50) that changes the pneumatic deflection force as a factor of the web velocity of the printable web (8).
Abstract: A fluid system (4) of a printing machine cleaning device (6) has at least one distributor valve (2) with an inlet (8), at least two outlets (10), a locking element (12) and a locking element seat (14). The at least two outlets (10) are each simultaneously separated, in terms of flow, from the inlet (8) or simultaneously connected, in terms of flow, to the inlet (8).

Abstract: Alcohol stabilizer for offset printing dampening solution, with a metering float for metering of alcohol into the dampening solution from a supply. An emergency cut-off float interrupts the supply of alcohol by ventilating the alcohol supply path when the alcohol content in the dampening solution reaches or exceeds an emergency cut-off value. The metered flow of alcohol is introduced into a recirculation path from and then back to a main vessel of the dampening solution.
Abstract: A liquid supply device, particularly for gluing machines, coating machines, paper moistening machines and printing machines. It includes an airtight container of collapsible design including at least one collapsible wall. The container collapses corresponding to the quantity of liquid sucked out of it by a suction pump. The collapsible container may be disposed in a rigid container with walls that support the collapsible container walls from folding over.
Abstract: A printing cylinder cleaning device of a sheet-fed printing machine. A control-cam/cam-follower is provided for transferring a cleaning unit over and above a gripping means from one outer surface portion of an impression cylinder to another outer surface portion of the latter. For the run of the cam follower onto the control cam, the throw-on pressure of the cleaning unit is reduced. Thereafter, it is increased again for the run onto the outer surface of the impression cylinder.
