The cleaning fabric (13) is impregnated with a cleaning composition containing an organic solvent and a cellulose solubilizer. The roll may be wound around a core (14) and inserted in a removable sealing bag (15) configured to seal around the roll (12) of cleaning fabric (13) in order to prevent the cleaning composition from evaporating before use.

Abstract: A service tracking system for a printing press (1), spray applicator (1?) or the like includes at least one replaceable component (10) having at least one memory unit (20). The service tracking system further includes a controller (30) which is connected to the memory unit (20). The controller (30) is configured to control the operation of the replaceable component (10) and to periodically update data stored on the memory unit (20) related to run-time data regarding the operation of the specific replaceable component (10).

Abstract: A spray applicator (1) for spraying a fluid onto a web (W) of material has a first group of spray nozzles (10A) arranged along a first axis (FA) and a second group of spray nozzles (11A) arranged along a second axis (SA). The first (FA) and second (SA) spray nozzle axes are arranged on the same side of a plane in which the web (W) is run. Each spray nozzle (10A, 11A) has an elongated spray opening configured to spray fluid in a direction towards the web (W). The first spray nozzle opening of the first group of spray nozzles (10A) has an inclination angle which differs from the second nozzle opening inclination angle of the second group of spray nozzles (11A).

Abstract: An arrangement for spraying a fluid to a piece of material, such as a web or strip, has a chamber through which the material runs, and an applicator (15) which is configured to spray the fluid on the material. The applicator includes at least a first and a second valve (16, 16a, 16b, 16c) arranged within the chamber, each valve having a longitudinal axis, and each valve comprising a spray nozzle (17, 17a, 17b, 17c). Each spray nozzle has an elongated opening extending along an axis. The longitudinal axis of the valve and the axis of the corresponding nozzle span a plane and the at least said first valve and said second valve are arranged spaced on a common axis (CA) running through a center point of each valve. Abstract: A cleaning fabric wound on a roll (12) is used for cleaning printing cylinders (2, 3, 4) of a printing system (1). The cleaning fabric (13) includes a liquid absorbable material configured to be soaked with a cleaning liquid containing a polar additive configured to make the cleaning liquid polar. The roll (12) of cleaning fabric (13) is included in a cleaning cassette (10) which is movable between an idle position out of contact with the printing cylinders, and an active position in which the cleaning fabric (13) included in the cassette (10) is in contact with a printing cylinder to be cleaned.

Abstract: An electromagnetic valve (100) for controlling flow of a pressurized liquid, comprises a plunger (110), which is able to move from a closed, downstream position, in which an end of the plunger (110) contacts a valve seat (120), to an open upstream position, in which the plunger (110) does not contact the valve seat (120). Hence an opening is left open for fluid flow, wherein the movement of the plunger to the open position is controlled by energizing a first coil (140). A second coil (130) arranged to pull the plunger (110) towards the closed position upon energizing.

Abstract: An arrangement for controlling a spray distribution of a pulse width modulated spray dampener at a printing press comprises a spray beam (110), a number of spray units (120) fastened to the spray beam, and a housing (300) at least partly enclosing the spray units. The housing is arranged such that at least a part of the sprays emitted from the spray units (120) is screened off from escaping the housing, and an individually formed screen surface (130) is configured to control the spray distribution by screening off spray portions from escaping the housing.

Abstract: A device for feeding dampening solution in an offset printing unit is presented. The device comprises a plurality of nozzles (22), each of which comprises an orifice (24), wherein each nozzle (22) is configured to eject a solitary droplet of dampening solution of a predetermined volume through said orifice (24) to a roller/cylinder (2, 5) of said offset printing unit, and a control means connected to the plurality of nozzles (22) and programmed to allow a predetermined number of nozzles to eject solitary droplets such that a film of dampening solution is provided across hydrophobic areas and hydrophilic areas of a printing plate of said offset printing unit.
