Abstract: A system and method for delivering and licensing wager gaming content is described herein. In one embodiment, the system can include a wager gaming machine to receive gaming content, conduct wagering games based on the gaming content, and transmit information indicating how the wager gaming machine used the gaming content. The system can also include a download manager to receive the information indicating how the gaming content was used, and determine a fee for use of the gaming content.

Abstract: A unified wallet manager (UWM) virtualized as a single virtual service in which all transactions relative to the UWM are treated as immutable facts permanently stored in append-only queues or ledgers from the time of their creation. A rules engine reads conversion requests in request calls to the service, and determines which rule or rules to apply to convert funds from one ledger to another, in the same or different vertically scaled gaming systems. The UWM is a peer of other vertical gaming systems, and the gaming systems access the UWM via an API server and data egresses from the UWM through an ETL process from a database cluster. The immutable queues allow for data reconstruction using any desired data model. The ledger stores funds of many different types, including real money, points, play money, and others. Third parties can integrate with the UWM through an integration hub connected to the UWM.

Abstract: A gaming system includes a secure communication board having a Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface and/or a wireless interface accessible externally to players and administrators of the gaming system. The secure communication board selectively provides power and communication between a coupled or proximate mobile device and the gaming system. The secure communication board includes a microcontroller to selectively control both power and communication flow through the secure communication board to the external interfaces. The microcontroller is responsive to the physical state of gaming system components and gaming system processor events and control signals. A wagering game event, user authentication, and/or specific states of one or more physical security switches of the gaming system may be required to provide power and data via the external interfaces.

Abstract: A device for forming a random set of playing cards comprises a card in-feed area, a shuffling system, a card removal area, and a card reading system located within the device, the card reading system employing a complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) sensor and a hardware component, the hardware component capable of converting signals from the CMOS sensor into vector sets and comparing the vector sets to known vectors to determine rank and suit.

In response to the electronic indication that the primary player is no longer occupying the player position at the gaming table the system automatically initiates a period locking out players taking positions on the potential outcome of the game such as a position on game outcome lock out period for such proposed backline positions on game outcome and modifies the user interface on a wireless device of the dealer accordingly.

Abstract: Disclosed are an input/output structure, a gaming machine including such a structure and a method for use of the input/output structure. The input/output structure includes first and second chutes disposed beneath a surface of the input/output structure with an elongated output port configured to dispense a first ticket from a printer through the first chute and onto the surface and an elongated input port directly adjacent and generally orthogonal to the output port and coupled to the second chute to accept and lead at least one of currency or a second ticket into the second chute and further into a bill acceptor. The method includes the steps of dispensing a first ticket from the output port and onto the surface above the first chute and of accepting at least one of currency or a second ticket into the input port and then the second chute.

Upon identifying a triggering event, one or more additional special games of roulette may be played and a payout may be paid to the player according to a paytable associated with the outcome of the special game play. The amount of the wager may be collected for the house when the triggering event is not identified.

Each of a plurality of local streaming servers is associated with a group of client gaming devices and communicates with the host streaming server over the communication network. A local streaming server has a memory storing at least one content package, and is configured to host one or more local virtual machines for hosting a local instance of the host instance. A director module controls migration of the host instance to the local instance from the host streaming server to at least one of the plurality of local streaming servers.

Abstract: A card-feeding device for feeding cards into a card-handling device may include a card infeed area that supports a stack of cards, where a pivoting arm presses against a card at the top of the stack. Methods of shuffling cards may include providing cards to be shuffled into a card infeed area as a stack with a top and bottom and removing cards one at a time from the bottom of the stack and moving the removed cards to a shuffling zone. The stack of cards is stabilized by a pivoting arm capable of pressing against the top of the stack in an engaged position. The pivot arm may be automatically rotated from a first card-engaging position to a second recessed position.
