Abstract: Card-handling devices may include a randomizer configured to randomize ordering of playing cards in a set of playing cards. An output may be configured to present a group of cards at a time from the randomizer for removal from the card-handling device. An image capturer may be positioned and configured to capture image data of at least a portion of each playing card handled by the randomizer, the image data comprising at least a suit and a rank of each playing card. A nontransitory memory device may be operatively connected to the randomizer and to the image capturer, the nontransitory memory device configured to store at least the image data and group assignment data of each playing card in each group of cards presented for removal by the output. A display may be operatively connected to the nontransitory memory, the display configured to display a history of the image data and group assignment data of each playing card in each group of cards presented for removal by the output upon request.

The retrieval component is configured to retrieve data representing interactions between customers and the merchant, and to construct a finite set of data values from the retrieved data. The display component is configured to display a graphical representation of a merchant and a graphical representation of each of the set of data values represented as data points. The contour generator is configured to generate and display one or more contour lines at least partly around each data point to form a contoured surface, in which the areas of representation around each data point are shown in a series of contour lines, and the nature of the contour lines gradually fans away from each data point. Each data point is vertex of the contoured surface.

Abstract: The invention provides a method and apparatus for linking a plurality of independent networks to a single central control system. In one embodiment, a casino accounting and reporting processing system provides a common back end to a plurality of networks. In one embodiment, the central server is coupled to at least one network using the same protocol so that no translation or interface is necessary. One or more other networks are coupled to the central server via an interface for translating communications and commands from the independent network to the host network protocol. In one embodiment, the interface is implemented using a standard interface referred to as “S2S”. An advantage of the invention is that it can be used to provide a common user interface, common accounting and security, and common player tracking management.

Abstract: An electromechanical indicator including a body with an axis of rotation. The rotary body is provided with a number of segments radiating from the axis of rotation which are associated with at least two different indicia. A motor is coupled to the rotary body such that the rotary body is adapted for a rotating mode and a stationary mode about the axis of rotation. A pointer associated with the rotary body is adapted to point to a predetermined segment of the number of segments when the rotary body is in the stationary mode. A segment detector detects a rotary position of each of the number of segments. In operation, the motor rotates the rotary body to point the pointer to the predetermined segment.
