Abstract: Embodiments of the invention include systems, methods, and computer-program products that provide for a unique system for controlling transactions based on command gestures. In one embodiment of the invention, a computer-implemented method determines that a user is conducting a transaction with a mobile device. The mobile device senses a gesture performed by the user with the mobile device and alters at least one aspect of the transaction based on the gesture. The gestures can control a wide variety of aspects of the transaction. For example, the user may flag an item for review during the transaction, silence the transaction, receive a subtotal for the transaction, select a payment method, or complete the transaction. In an embodiment, the user is able to customize the gestures to control the transaction according to the user's preferences.

  • Patent number: 8489887
Abstract: Systems and methods for integrating biometric authentication with video conference sessions are described. An individual seeking to participate in a video conference may first be identified with a biometric parameter such as an iris scan based on a comparison of the scanned iris with a database of stored parameters. If authorized, the system may connect the individual to the video session. In addition, the system may generate dynamic tags that allow the participants to identify and locate individuals in the video conference. For example, if one of the participants is speaking and moving within the room, her tag may change color and move with her on the video screen.

  • Publication number: 20130179888
Abstract: Methods, computer readable media, and apparatuses for balancing the number of transaction requests with the number of applications running and processing information for those transaction requests are presented. According to one or more aspects, a message queue receives one or more messages, each including a transaction request, from a computing device. The message queue sends a trigger message to a trigger queue. The load balancing utility monitors the number of messages in the message queue and determines a number of transaction requests to process and starts a number of additional applications to process the additional transaction requests. The applications process the transaction requests and send a response for each of the transaction requests to the message queue. The message queue sends the response back to the computing device.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to a system, method, or computer program product for a predictive analytics platform. First, the platform may be populated by individuals or entities with data. The data may then be categorized into a searchable format. The data may be analyzed to create feed category data and patterns that may provide indications of future trends. The future trends may be in the financial, risk, or product development fields. In this way, the invention may combine data from multiple sources into a single platform for predictive analytics, thus using current data to attempt to predict future trends. Individuals and entities may have access to the platform to analyze the data on the platform or receive patterns previously provided by the system, in order to further predict future trends.

Abstract: Assessing risks arising from relationships with third-parties that support the operations or strategic goals of an organization, such as a bank, are provided. A risk assessment system receives risk assessment values respectively corresponding to the likelihood, severity, and control for a risk item associated with a third-party relationship. The risk assessment system then determines a risk priority value for the risk item based on the risk assessment values. The risk assessment system may prioritize multiple risk items according to their respective risk priority values, risk categories, or both. In some arrangements, the risk assessment system may identify a risk item for additional risk mitigation and determine a risk mitigation action plan for the identified risk item.

Abstract: Methods, computer readable media, and apparatuses for managing calls in an interactive voice response system are presented. According to one or more aspects, a call from a user or customer is received by an interactive voice response system. The interactive voice response system retrieves user information based on user credentials. An interactive voice response program analyzes the user information and determines a first business rule to retrieve. A decision tree application retrieves the first business rule and analyzes the information within the first business rule. The decision tree application may retrieve one or more additional business rules based on a decision from the first business rule. The decision tree application makes a decision based on the information within the business rules and sends the decision to the interactive voice response application. Based on the decision, the interactive voice response application manages the call in the interactive voice response system.
