Patents Assigned to Bares Group
  • Patent number: 4932291
Abstract: A tool for removing insulation from electrical wire is provided. The tool includes a set of intersecting arms from which extend blade support members. A pair of replaceable ceramic blades having imbedded resistance heater elements are mounted on the blade support members. The blades are movable toward and away from each other upon application of pressure on the set of intersecting arms to effectuate contact between the blades and the insulation.

  • Patent number: 4899877
Abstract: A packaging technique which have a rotatable member and a stationary member such as an adjustable nut driver of chuck. The package encloses the tool and has at least one transparent section to reveal at least a portion of the tool, and a pair of access openings spaced about 180.degree. to allow manual digital access to the tool. Means are provided to restrain the stationary member of the tool upon rotation of the moveable member to thereby permit a perspective customer to manipulate the tool as well as view it visually.

  • Patent number: 4845826
Abstract: A fluid actuated tool for pressing work pieces with a controlled force and dwell time is provided. The tool includes a fixed jaw and a movable jaw which is movable toward and away from the fixed jaw which arrangement allows a work piece to be squeezed between the jaws. A fluid actuated cylinder is provided which is connected to the movable jaw. The connection includes a coil spring and link and slot arrangement wherein force is transmitted to the work piece between the jaws by compression of the coil spring independent of the fluid force, and the link and slot arrangement allows limited movement of the piston independent of the movable jaw when the jaw meets the resistance of the work piece. The spring thus allows for a dwell time as well as a force independent of the fluid pressure.
