  • Patent number: 9839197
Abstract: An infrastructure and methodologies to support automated lost and found pet alerts based on geo-proximity and other criteria. In various embodiments, a pet/dog owner initiates a lost pet alert by entering location and lost pet report information via a downloadable application. This information is processed and stored in a database maintained by a cloud/remote server. The server identifies potential recipients for a lost pet alert and transmits alerts for display on user devices meeting select criteria such as proximity thresholds. Upon receiving a found pet report, the server sends an automated found pet notice to the owner of the animal and other users meeting predetermined criteria. Curated listings of lost and found pet notifications may also be maintained for selective presentation on user devices.

  • Patent number: 9605969
Abstract: A method and system for establishing a meeting location for affiliates of primary users of mobile devices. In various embodiments, geolocation information from first and second mobile devices in proximity to first and second affiliated parties, respectively, is used to identify a meeting location. The affiliated parties (e.g., human babies or dogs) may be unable to meaningfully and independently interact with a mobile device. Directions to the meeting location are communicated to each of the mobile devices, as well as location information regarding the other mobile device. Social profile information regarding a user of a mobile device and an affiliated party may also be provided to other potential meeting participants. Proximity of an affiliated party to a mobile device may be determined from electronic data received from a device coupled to the affiliated party. Further, potential points of interest culled from a curated database may be communicated for display.

Abstract: An infrastructure and methodologies to support automated matching of compatible dogs based on geo-proximity and dog profile/preference information. In various embodiments, a dog owner establishes a profile for a first dog by entering profile/preference information via a downloadable application. Such information may include the dog's physical characteristics, compatibility information relating to interaction with other dogs, geolocation information, etc. This information, as well as like information relating to other dogs, may be stored in a profile database maintained by a cloud/remote server. The server proactively identifies compatible dogs by applying configurable matching criteria to the profile database. Proximity thresholds may be utilized to limit matches based on real-time or stored geolocation information. Upon detecting a match between the first dog and a second dog, an automated suggested match notification is communicated to a mobile device associated with the first dog.
