Abstract: The present invention relates to a stabilizer composition for halogen-containing thermoplastic resins, the stabilizer composition comprising (a) calcium hydroxide and/or calcium oxide which may optionally be surface-modified; and (b) a hydroxyl group-containing isocyanurate. This stabilizer composition is particularly suited for weather-resistant halogen-containing resin compositions, such as rigid PVC.

Abstract: A stabilizer combination for weathering-resistant-halogen-containing thermoplastic resin compositions, in particular those based on polyvinyl chloride (or PVC) is described, encompassing calcium chloride and/or calcium oxide with a particle size of not more than 200 ?m, an organotin compound and at least one zinc compound selected from liquid and solid zinc salts of saturated, unsaturated, straight-chain, or branched mono- or polyfunctional aromatic or aliphatic carboxylic acids, zinc oxide and zinc hydroxide, which contains no perchlorate.

Abstract: The invention describes basic calcium aluminum hydroxy phosphites of the general formulaCa.sub.x Al.sub.2 (OH).sub.2(x+3-y) (HPO.sub.3).sub.y.mH.sub.2 Owhereinx=2-12, ##EQU1## and m=0-12,with the proviso that y.noteq.1, if x=2-8.The compounds according to the invention are particularly suited as stabilizers for halogen-containing polymers, in particular PVC.

Abstract: This invention pertains to a process for the manufacture of metal soap granulates or mixtures thereof by means of reacting an aqueous solution or suspension of a metal oxide, metal hydroxide or metal carbonate, including basic metal carbonates, or mixtures thereof with a water insoluble fatty acid which may be aliphatic, saturated or unsaturated, straight chained or branched and which may either be natural or synthetic fatty acids, having a chain length of C.sub.8 -C.sub.32 and a melting point of above 0.degree. C. and below 100.degree. C.; such fatty acids may be used alone or in mixtures with the reaction taking place in the absence of catalysts and wetting agents.
