  • Publication number: 20150075044
Abstract: Custom LED light panel displays (20, 20a, 20b) are provided, equipped with transparent media covers (22), replaceable, image-bearing media sheets (24), and support and illumination assemblies (26) having backing panels (38) supporting the sheets (24). The sheets (24) are located between the covers (22) and the backing panels (38), and can be readily replaced without disassembly of the displays (20, 20a, 20b). The displays (20, 20a, 20b) are illuminated by means of peripheral LED lights (86) disposed about central panel sections (50) forming a part of the backing panels (38). The LED-emitted light may be4 scattered or changed in color to achieve different illumination patterns.

  • Patent number: 8241727
Abstract: Decorated three-dimensional articles (64, 78, 82, 86) may be produced having wall structure (66-72) with distortion-free images (40a, 40b) appearing through the inner and outer surfaces of the wall structure (66-72). Preferably, a sheet of paper stock (38) is imprinted on both faces with mirror images (40a, 40b), and the stock (38) is applied to a light-transmitting substrate (44) so that the image (40b) appears through the substrate (44), thereby yielding a blank (50). A plurality of lines of weakness (54) are formed in the blank (50) by laser ablation extending through the image (40a) and stock (38), but not through the image (40b), in order to define spaced apart bend areas (56). The substrate (44) is then heated along the bend areas (56), and the blank (50) is formed about a mandrel (62). If desired, the formed blank (50) may be completed by addition of a base (74).

  • Patent number: 5829744
Abstract: A repositionable puzzle having a base, at least one removable piece having a first surface having a fastener adapted to releasably engage the base and a second surface having indicia. A panel is attached to the base. The panel has clue and answer indicia thereon. The at least one removable piece is moved on the base from a position adjacent to the answer indicia on the panel to a position adjacent to the corresponding clue indicia on the panel to complete the puzzle. A method of playing a puzzle game on a repositionable puzzle having a base, at least one removable piece having a first surface having a fastener adapted to releasably engage the base and a second surface having indicia, a panel attached to the base having clue and answer indicia thereon, the method includes the step moving the at least one removable piece on the base from a position adjacent to the answer indicia on the panel to a position adjacent to the clue indicia on the panel to complete the puzzle.
